A new report has government officials considering setting 10 million acres of across six states in the American west off limits to mining and development to protect the chicken-like Greater Sage Grouse, which is not an endangered species. A man who robbed two people in a car in a Tacoma parking lot Friday was fatally shot by one of the robbery victims during the confrontation, police said. The shooting occurred about 6:45 p.m. in the 1200 block of Division Avenue. The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the dead man as 26-year-old Terry Webb. BURLINGTON, Skagit County — Tips and surveillance video led to the arrest of a 20-year-old Oak Harbor man in connection with Friday’s deadly shooting at the Cascade Mall, authorities said Saturday night. ....
