NEW YORK (AP) -- For the combatants in America's long-running culture wars, the triumph of Donald Trump and congressional Republicans was stunning - sparking elation on one side, deep dismay on the other. Advocates of LGBT rights and abortion rights now fear setbacks instead of further gains. But the outcome emboldened the anti-abortion movement and breathed new life into the religious right's campaign for broad exemptions from same-sex marriage and other laws. Kelly Shackelford, head of First Liberty Institute, a legal group that specializes in religious freedom cases, said that, for his cause, the environment will transform from "brutal" under...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: There are two long-form pieces that I want to call your attention to today. Victor Davis Hanson back with a brilliant piece about the Clintons and who they are and what motives 'em. It's at National Review Online, and I just love it because it essentially, in his own words, makes points that I have been trying to make about the Clintons since I first became aware of them in 1990. There's another piece, and this also is a piece right after my heart. It's by somebody named Thomas Frank. Now, there are two Thomas Franks, and...

That photo is me about ten years ago, standing in the ruins of a land where people rejected the rule of law in favor of the rule of force. I think a lot about my year-long deployment to Kosovo these days. I think a lot about people today who, for short term political points, cavalierly disregard the rules, laws and norms that made America what it is. ... Today in America, a despised minority that's really no minority is the target of an establishment that considers this minority unworthy of respect, unworthy of rights, and unworthy of having a say...

On Thursday we posted Nash Montana’s chronicle of the cultural enrichment of the city of Winterthur in Switzerland. The brief video below describes one of the byproducts of that enrichment: the arrest of a “radical” imam in Wintherthur whose sermons from the pulpit of his mosque called for the death of “moderate” Muslims. [The thing that looks like a pulpit in a mosque is actually called a minbar. However, the latter word makes one think of the little cabinet in a motel room where you can get a teeny-weeny bottle of Jim Beam for $20 or so. To create an...

“History offers even more sobering warnings: Armed confrontation usually occurs around the climax of Crisis. If there is confrontation, it is likely to lead to war. This could be any kind of war – class war, sectional war, war against global anarchists or terrorists, or superpower war. If there is war, it is likely to culminate in total war, fought until the losing side has been rendered nil – its will broken, territory taken, and leaders captured.” – The Fourth Turning – Strauss & Howe -1997 As we enter the final stretch of this vitriolic, deplorable, venomous, propaganda saturated, deceitful,...

In Part One of this article I laid out the case against the criminal establishment and how the regeneracy is being driven by the anti-establishment sentiment sweeping across the land. This atonement Fourth Turning will de-establish decade’s worth of delusional decisions. This election has destroyed the last vestiges of trust in this fraudulent system. This dysfunctional rigged presidential election reflects the tearing of the civic fabric at points of maximum susceptibility. As a country we have neglected, denied, or delayed necessary action on a plethora of vital issues threatening our long term viability as a nation. The deferral of difficult...

UNITED NATIONS (AP) -- The Paris Agreement to combat climate change became international law on Friday - a landmark deal about tackling global warming amid growing fears that the world is becoming hotter even faster than scientists expected. So far, 96 countries, accounting for just over two-thirds of the world's greenhouse gas emissions, have formally joined the accord, which seeks to limit global warming to 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit). More countries are expected to come aboard in the coming weeks and months.

I'm sure it wasn't the intention of the liberal Atlantic magazine but they published an article that provided an excellent reason for why the Second Amendment is so important. The article itself was about the turmoil in Venezuela. However, the story revealed the reason why the highly dissatisfied citizenry of that troubled nation are unable to remove their highly unpopular government: they lack ownership of guns and it is the government and their goons that have them. The article was authored by associate editor Siddhartha Mahanta and the subtitle reveals the bottom line of why the folks in Venezuela are...

This week the American Civil Liberties Union filed a complaint with the Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights demanding that it force Catholic hospitals to sterilize patients. The complaint alleges that the refusal to provide a service the religiously supported hospitals deem a violation of their faith is unlawful discrimination against women. ACLU spokesman Bertram Petty asserted that "religious dogma must yield to the government's right to determine what kinds of medical procedures are essential human rights under the Affordable Care Act. The government represents everyone. The Catholic Church represents a minority. Clearly, democracy requires that...

The spirit of Brexit — the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union (EU) — is continuing, with the government leaders of both Hungary and Poland publicly denouncing the efforts of the EU to dilute their country’s national sovereignty, especially in the area of immigration from Middle Eastern countries. They also condemned the globalist hostility to the Christian faith. “People who love their freedom must save Brussels [the headquarters of the increasingly powerful and despotic EU] from Sovietization, from people who want to tell us who should live within our countries,” asserted Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán Sunday...

(CNSNews.com) -“People have to start living a life that’s commensurate with reductions in greenhouse gases,” EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy said while discussing the recent global deal to limit the use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) used in air-conditioning and refrigeration. During a social media discussion with Mashable last week, McCarthy said that fighting climate change will “not have to be just what government does, but it has to be what people do.” “People have to start living a life that’s commensurate with reductions in greenhouse gases to the extent they can,” McCarthy said. “But also, as you said- demand government to be...

Parents in the German town of Rendsburg were assessed a €300 fine for refusing permission for their 13-year-old son to participate in a school field trip to a mosque. Apparently the “permission” that parents were asked to give was pro forma. It was not really optional. The visit was mandatory. The parents were fined. The boy will go to the mosque. Ve haf vays of making you visit the mosque… Many thanks to Nash Montana for translating this brief item from oe24.at: Student refuses mosque visit: €300 penalty Parents are lodging an appeal. Authored by The Daily Sheeple's Melissa Dykes vis SHTFPlan.com Unaccountable power multiplies, but this is astounding. This is a very good example of the reasons that the founders sought to limit and check power. But of course, over the years, those protections have been whittled down, and the loopholes are big enough drive tanks through. Corruption doesn’t even begin to cover it if wealthy donors – and even foreign powers – can just write checks, contribute to the Clinton Foundation, etc. – and just buy a law in return. Why is no one standing up to this tyranny? Critics have...

Critics of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on both the left and the right are calling for a crackdown on conservative media after the election, especially on talk radio and the Web. . . . "We need to get to a point where Hannity only has paid contributors on. He doesn't need to have elected officials on," Mackowiak said. "Someone needs to be making sure that if you want to go open $50,000 [in ads] on Breitbart, that there is, that you get a phone call that follows that up and makes clear you're not helping."

Right-wing militia groups have grown steadily since the 2008 election of President Barack Obama and they continue to grow, according to a new report released this week. The left-leaning Political Research Associates published “Up in Arms: A Guide to Oregon’s Patriot Movement” during a presidential election season that’s seen Republican nominee Donald Trump appeal to such right-wing groups while Democrat Hillary Clinton has been the subject of ire for those same groups. The report says Oregon has one of the most developed militia movements in the country and it details the rise of the movement, including events and groups...

Bill Clinton once reportedly told senior White House reporter Sarah McClendon, “Sarah, there’s a government inside the government, and I don’t control it.” Average citizens who talk about things like that, however, are typically referred to as “Conspiracy Theorists” as if its a pejorative term. Then again, how much of a conspiracy is it when the FBI’s own documents confirm the existence of something referred to as “The Shadow Government”? Check out page 56 from the FBI’s files on the Clinton investigation which is making the rounds on Reddit:
