The only thing new is, the current media incursion into politics--trying to dominate instead of report--is coming from "the right". The 4th Estate, of course, being the media, the 2nd being The Lords Temporal (either, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, George Soros & the Koch Bros., et cetera; or the Senate), and the 3rd being Commons (Congress). History says, there have already been two main incursions of media to destabilize American politics. This is roughly analogous to the military making an incursion into politics, as with Gen. Douglas MacArthur of Old Soldiers Never Die, and Gen. Smedley Darlington Butler of Jules Archer's...

Murdoch's message to blunt Trump's rise in the polls came loud and clear over his social media and publishing outlets Rupert Murdoch handed over 21st Century Fox, the conglomerate behind Fox News, to sons James and Lachlan July 1, 2015. James is now CEO and Lachlan executive co-chairman. Last year Murdoch elevated his sons to prominent positions, James to co-COO and Lachlan to non-executive co-chairman, but the turnover of the conglomerate came sooner than expected. For 15 years, Roger Ailes has enjoyed near total autonomy as head of Fox News, but Ailes’ sovereign rule ended abruptly with the move. A...

The Canadian debate was in sharp contrast to the main Republican debate that saw Fox News in a blatant attempt to take down Donald Trump, especially with Kelly’s “war on women” question Thursday was a busy night. At 5 pm (all times Eastern) the second tier Republican debate took place. Later at 8:50 pm, the debate between the top 10 Republican presidential candidates began. And if that wasn’t enough, for Canadians in general and Torontonians in particular, the Toronto Blue Jays were home to the Minnesota Twins. The Jays have become a lot more exciting to watch after the acquisition...

Keeping up with The Megyn: Like the government the fawning media of the day tries so hard to emulate, mainstream media has now given itself authority over the masses—including aspiring Republican presidential hopefuls—to which it has no right. Fox News, which came onto the media world as providers of “the fair and balanced” news, are now coming on just like Obama, having proved before 24 million viewers, it’s now going to be their way or the highway. Until We the People find a legal way to get around their destructive polices, they have to put up with Big Government in...

This will be a review of the GOP debates last Thursday night; events following this debate are fast-moving, so while I strive for a modicum of completeness, I make no promise of such. Kiddie Table: Did not watch. Jindal and Carly Florina shine: Carly in particular eviscerates Chris Matthews (of Hairball with Chris Matthews fame). Main Debate: Earlier in the day of the debate, Rush Limbaugh said on his radio show that the word had gone out from the GOP bundlers to take out Donald Trump as a candidate, no matter, what, that they were tired of this. This ties...

CNN and the New York Times loved last night’s biased presidential debate. No wonder. Fox News is now just like them Americans, or at least roughly half of their country’s population, are looking for a miracle to drag their country back from the cliff edge after almost seven years of a president intent on destroying it. They found out last night they’ll get no help saving the country from the media, and disappointing to many conservatives, including Fox News. Fox is crowing today and patting itself on the back that last night’s debate, watched by 24 million people, shattered all...

Struck me as desperate, maybe Karl Rove is spooked- and thinks it's their last chance to slow him down----------------------------------------------------------- I personally don't think Trump has serious, detailed plans for tackling the nation's problems, but as an experienced executive he would likely get the right people in there to put it all together... And he does know how to fix things. I always liked how Trump said some things I wanted to hear -yet never did elsewhere- starting in 2012 ('Take the oil!'). But outside of shaky 'conservative' credentials, I also don't think he's the kind of guy that should be...

It was only a few weeks ago when media honcho and Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch took to Twitter and asked when Donald Trump was going to stop being an embarrassment to his friends and to the whole country. That exchange elicited a rather negative response from The Donald (who seems to have a team monitoring the entire planet for any time anyone mentions his name and is never shy about firing back) and the situation has been simmering ever since. That seems to have come to an end last week, when Murdoch reached out to the GOP frontrunner for...

The California Legislature is debating a bill that has passed through committee that would phase out hierarchy within a company. The bill is considered a landmark bill by many to eliminate what has been referred to as “wholesale oppression” of employees of a company. Speaker of the Assembly Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego) sponsored the bill and hailed it as the next step in equal rights for all Americans. In the State Senate, President Pro Tem Kevin De León cheered the efforts of Speaker Atkins and stated he and his caucus were fully on board. De León (D-Los Angeles) said,...

Doral Vice Mayor Sandra Ruiz sponsored a resolution to condemn billionaire presidential candidate Donald J. Trump for his allegedly “racist” comments about Mexican immigrants. The city is home to one of Trump’s largest assets, the Trump National Doral Miami golf course and hotel. He previously received the city to the key, but his popularity with public officials there has waned since he made controversial remarks about Mexican immigrants on June 16 when he announced his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. The population of Doral is mostly Hispanic and foreign born. Trump said about Mexico: “They’re sending people that have...

“Ready to get uncomfortable with us?” asked the official MTV Twitter account on Wednesday, preparing its audience for the documentary White People, which aired that night. In the hour-long special, Pulitzer Prize–winning reporter Jose Antonio Vargas talks to young people — many of them white — about race in America. While white people aren’t the only ones talking, they are involved in every conversation, and each segment has some focus on the white experience of race: a white guy who goes to a historically black college, the white teachers at a school on an Oglala Sioux reservation, white people who...

Young conservative CJ Pearson, who became famous for attacking President Obama on YouTube, tweeted his endorsement of Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, for president Monday. This is a turnaround from the 12-year-old's April endorsement of Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. Cruz responded on Twitter saying, "Grateful for your support. Let's #MakeDCListen and break the #WashingtonCartel!" The switch came after Cruz took to the Senate floor on Friday to accuse Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of lying. According to Cruz, McConnell promised 54 Republican senators that "there was no deal" with senators trying to revive the Export-Import Bank. But Friday, McConnell began procedures...

Pop stars are definitely not shy about taking sides in American politics, as we saw when artists such as Madonna, Cher, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Beyonce all rallied behind President Obama in his respective campaigns. On their own, singers are just voters. They might not know a whole lot about politics, and you might not care what they think. But a lot of people, especially young people, do. And young people matter. The 2014 midterms saw the lowest youth turnout in 70 years, contributing to sweeping Republican victories a few short years after the youth vote helped President Obama...

It's time for someone on TV to step up and take Donald Trump down — or, at least, put him in his place.. The situation has not risen to the level of Edward R. Murrow and Sen. Joseph McCarthy. But it's definitely in a league with Katie Couric and Sarah Palin. And every day that Trump gets away with driving the vast majority of political coverage on network and cable TV with his reckless, tabloid-style attacks and unsubstantiated claims is another day that the nation loses in having an informed discussion about where it wants to go in terms of...

Donald Trump has become public enemy number one in the rap world and now Jeezy is chiming in. Trump pissed a lot of people off during a recent press conference when he claimed that Mexican immigrants entering the United States are criminals. “The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems,” said Trump. “It’s true, and there are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re...

The authoritarian ideas of today's liberal left Before bed last night, on the Conan O’Brien episode on TBS on July 16, 2015, I decided to get a few things done, and had the television on for noise. The Conan O’Brien show came on, and I kind of watched the Paul Rudd interview, but a comic, a former member of the Daily Show, caught my attention even more. Comedian Wyatt Cenac was discussing a child he saw from the stoop of his apartment, screaming, “I wanna go back to where we were.” Conan’s sidekick, Andy Richter, says, “He could’ve been republican.”...

Meghan McCain, the political scion who has won public fame as a blogger, commentator and TV-show host, will join Fox News Channel as a contributor, Variety has learned. A spokesperson for the network confirmed the hire. McCain is expected to contribute to the network’s primetime and daytime programming. McCain, the oldest daughter of U.S. Senator John McCain, a Republican, joins as Fox News Channel, like other news outlets, heads into a frenzied pre-season for the 2016 election for U.S. president. Already, more than a dozen different candidates for the Republican nomination have thrown their hat into the ring. McCain, who...

If you haven’t seen the horrific video where a Planned Parenthood official gleefully admits to chopping up aborted children so that she could sell their organs and tissues, we have it here. While the left defend Planned Parenthood by saying the video was deceptively edited, Megyn Kelly and Dana Loesch took on a Democratic consultant in an attempt to explain how the official’s very own words condemn the organization. Watch below: (video at link)
