Murdoch's message to blunt Trump's rise in the polls came loud and clear over his social media and publishing outlets
Rupert Murdoch handed over 21st Century Fox, the conglomerate behind Fox News, to sons James and Lachlan July 1, 2015. James is now CEO and Lachlan executive co-chairman. Last year Murdoch elevated his sons to prominent positions, James to co-COO and Lachlan to non-executive co-chairman, but the turnover of the conglomerate came sooner than expected.
For 15 years, Roger Ailes has enjoyed near total autonomy as head of Fox News, but Ailes sovereign rule ended abruptly with the move. A 21st Century Fox spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter from now on, Roger will report to Lachlan and James.
because lurching left has worked so well for MSNBC, CNN, etc.....
It’s not “lurched left”; it’s been left for quite a spell, but the American people may not know that.
LMAO....they will now...
When I read that last month on FR, I thought to myself, 'they've actually been running things there for some time, and now they feel strong enough to make it official...'
In the end the business is sold off only after a 50% decrease in value. The wives and family go to the courts to fight over the proceeds.
Captain obvious alert
Fox has always been left. They just did a good job of disguising it.
That’s the problem with having a media conglomerate based in NYC— they think they are conservative, and when you look at DeBlasio and his merry band of idiots, they actually are.
But Fox is on thin ice and it’s hard to see them surviving this election cycle with their viewer base intact. Megyn Kelly violated the cardinal rule of journalism: don’t become part of the story. Between her antics and that first question at the debate (which should have been asked by the Republican Natl Cmte, not a debate host, in that it is an internal party matter that has no bearing on policy positions.
For how long?
Fox has always been one step right of extreme left-wingers.
People in New York think if they don’t support all the extreme left-wing ideologies that makes them conservative.
His sons are attempting to bring Fox News in line with the rest of the Murdoch empire worldwide.
“The children always destroy the parent’s business. It seems to never fail. I can’t think of one with a good outcome.
In the end the business is sold off only after a 50% decrease in value. The wives and family go to the courts to fight over the proceeds.”
Thanks for posting this. We live in one of the now elite wino counties north of gay Frisco and we see your comments in real life via two ways:
1. Home grown left wing spawn, who destroy their parents business with their liberalism and greed.
2. The next group may be worse, as they are often invisible and more dangerous than group 1, the super rich trust fund bastards. They often influence/control local/state politics which are anti business and human.
Quite right. Many people don’t realize this will be the third generation of Murdochs running the family business. Rupert actually inherited on the premature death of his father, Sir Keith Murdoch. Keith Murdoch is best known as the editor/journalist (or, “journo” as they say in Australia) who exposed the senseless death of Australian forces at Gallipoli in WW1.
Most businesses don’t make it through the family’s third generation.
Walmart did exactly the opposite.
Yes.
I have seen that OVER and OVER.
Exactly. The talk radio station where I am used to do abc news at the top of the hour. They switched to FOX radio news and it got worse. I didn’t think it was possible for anyone to go further left than abc. FOX pulled it off.
One America News is replacing FNC, I think.
Wal-Mart’s annual report cites modification (reduction) in SNAP/EBT benefits as an item having a material/negative impact on its business. Their distribution centers and stores are collocated with subsidized housing. Their employees qualify for Medicaid.
If WalMart was a person, it would be categorized as white trash— everybody else picks up the tab for their existence.
