Minutes ago, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a preliminary injunction (download the PDF HERE) against the DOJ’s and ATF’s unconstitutional attack on firearms equipped with a pistol stabilizing brace. With five months until the election, things couldn’t look any worse for the president of the United States. His approval rating is down to 40%. People are getting tired of his antics and the insults he hurls at his opponents. The media is increasingly confident that, come November, the voters will elect a new chief executive. This might sound like June 2020, but I’m actually referring to June 1948 — when President Harry Truman, a Democrat, was running to keep his job against Republican Thomas Dewey. The similarities between the 1948 and 2020 elections are striking. Like President Trump, Truman...

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Health insurance would have to cover birth control without co-pays in New York even if President-elect Donald Trump repeals “Obamacare,” under legislation proposed Wednesday by state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. The bill would codify into state law the Affordable Care Act mandate for cost-free contraception and expand upon the federal requirements to provide cost-free coverage for all birth control methods, including vasectomies and emergency contraception like Plan B. It also would allow access to a year’s worth of contraception at one time and prohibit insurance companies from reviews that can limit or delay contraceptive coverage.

“Now that progress has been made we can't have special interests sitting shotgun. We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.”

"You don't like a particular policy or a particular president? Then argue for your position. Go out there and win an election. Push to change it. But don't break it. Don't break what our predecessors spent over two centuries building. That's not being faithful to what this country's about." "Go out there and win an election." That's about as direct as you will ever hear a politician be about how he feels about his opposition and how they are conducting themselves.

Ann Coulter appearing on Good Morning Britain: (Video Only) Comments worth repeating, especially the final three comments : Annie had it pegged from the get go. Has anyone else been so vilified by the left over the past 5 years? Brave smart woman, with rapier wit. 2nd only to Trump in being disrespected and vilified. I hope she’s correct about the defeat of Globalism, but I really don’t expect that to happen without way more fight than it took to get Trump elected. Coulter and the rest of the media would start calling the globalist what they really are…progressive, socialist,...

Canadian government, not to mention immigration lawyers, will step up their efforts to entice and help Americans to move north of the border Canada Immigration’s website crashed around 10:30 p.m. ET last night. While no official explanation has been given for the crash, the logical inference is it was caused by too many Americans going to the site to look for a place to flee to after a Donald Trump victory. The outage occurred around the same time it became clear Trump was going to become the 45th president of the United States. While the ballots were still being counted,...

Donald Trump won tonight’s debate. He didn’t implode, he didn’t blither, he didn’t continually interrupt Hillary Clinton and he didn’t even sniff much. And, frankly, he had the best retorts and one-liners. Clinton was on her heels much of the night, and several times, she had to reset by resorting to tired, hollow platitudes — which only drove home the point that she lacks authenticity and appears to be a typical politician who is therefore dishonest. That said, Clinton was an able, informed politician, but Trump — for the first time — appeared to be a worthy opponent. The fact...

The long-awaited dream for most conservatives finally arrived, and Donald Trump did not disappoint. For the better part of the last year and a half, most if not all Republicans and Tea Party faithful had dreamed of a Trump-Clinton throw-down on a debate stage. Last night in Las Vegas did not disappoint us..... The brawl at the Thomas and Mack Center actually began rather quietly, for the first few questions regarding the Supreme Court and the appointment of a new Justice. The sparring politicians were polite with no interruptions or insults. Each allowed the other to make their case about...

"[Hillary] Clinton can't just shut down the mines, she could shut down the whole country," Trump said of the Democratic contender Thursday. -- White House hopeful Donald Trump on Thursday finally crossed his party's finish line and secured the necessary delegate count to clinch the Republican presidential nomination, thanks to the state of North Dakota. Trump obtained delegate No. 1,237 in the Midwest state, meaning he will be the GOP's definitive candidate in the November general election to run against whomever the Democratic Party nominates -- almost certainly Hillary Clinton. Trump thanked North Dakota supporters for pushing him over the...

No Third-Party Candidate: Every four years there is political chatter about trying to run a third-party candidate who will supposedly be more conservative than the Republican nominee. The lesson is the same every time this is tried: third-party candidates do not win because the United States is a two-party country. The grumblings we hear about Donald Trump are mostly because of his strong stand against illegal immigration. Party bosses know that if Trump wins and then shuts down illegal immigration and so-called free trade, it will cost the Democratic Party millions of future votes and cost Republican businessmen lucrative deals...
