Donald Trump's bid to become president received a boost from an unexpected source when racist loon Al Sharpton promised to leave the country should Trump be elected. According to Sharpton, his pledge to leave the country "is a desperate plea to the people who love me to spare my having to move out" and "would save the government the expense of having to deport me along with all the other so-called undesirables Trump has threatened to oust." Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski predicted that Sharpton's vow "will help Donald's efforts to win votes. Getting endorsements from friends is nice, but...

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) has introduced legislation that would fund lawyers who assist illegal aliens to avoid deportation. "Look, these immigrants have undertaken lengthy and sometimes dangerous journeys to get here," Reid said. "It would be a shame to see all of that effort go to waste just because they've entered the country illegally. There are a variety of stratagems that lawyers can use to help these people evade that fate. But lawyers won't work for free and these immigrants are too poor to pay their fees. My bill will put the financial burden where it belongs—on the...

President Barack Obama is about to unveil an ambitious plan for a "21st century clean transportation system." And he hopes to fund it with a tax on oil. Obama aides told POLITICO that when he releases his final budget request next week, the president will propose more than $300 billion worth of investments over the next decade in mass transit, high-speed rail, self-driving cars, and other transportation approaches designed to reduce carbon emissions and congestion. To pay for it all, Obama will call for a $10 "fee" on every barrel of oil, a surcharge that would be paid by oil...

Volvo has made a pretty bold statement this week. It says it wants to make things so that no one dies in a Volvo or because of a collision with one by the year 2020. "If you meet Swedish engineers, they're pretty genuine," said Lex Kerssemakers, CEO of Volvo Cars North America. "They don't say things when they don't believe in it." A pretty serious lot it seems. People who say what the mean and mean what they say. "With the development of full autonomy we are going to push the limits of automotive safety," says Volvo safety engineer Erik...

I just accepted a job in Bentonville AR, for a company supporting Walmart. I'm moving "blind", as I've never been to that area. I would welcome any useful comments or suggestions about moving to, and living in, the Bentonville area. In particular, any suggestions about good or bad neighborhoods as I start looking for a place to live. I'd prefer to rent a house rather than an apartment, but I have a large dog (70lb husky mix), and I realize that may make it more difficult to find a place. Thanks in advance!

In 2010, researchers and conservators from the Antarctic Heritage Trust of New Zealand made quite the interesting discovery. Hidden beneath the hut legendary explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton used during his 1908 Antarctica expedition (known as the Nimrod) were five crates covered in ice: three containing whisky and two containing scotch! This wasn’t the only discovery made by the Trust either; they also found a notebook and photos from similar expeditions on the continent. From: Youtube / Shackleton Whisky After the whisky was discovered, one crate was sent to New Zealand where it was thawed and displayed for the public at Canterbury Museum. Debunking common myths about life in Germany which the authorities believe serve to make the country seem more appealing to Afghans, the posters are stark with their blank-canvas design with Arabic glyphs spelling out key messages in local languages Dari and Pashto.
