Actor Austin Majors, a child star from the hit network cop drama “NYPD Blue” has died at the age of 27, Variety and TMZ report. Majors died Saturday night while staying at a homeless housing facility in Los Angeles. A source “with direct knowledge of the circumstances” told TMZ they believe Majors may have ingested a fatal amount of fentanyl. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.

GALVESTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A driver taken into custody after a crash that left a father and his son dead overnight is being identified as a Texas City commissioner. Authorities held Dee Ann Haney after the incident on northbound Interstate 45 near the Galveston Causeway at 12:55 a.m. Monday. A Fayette County pool party turned tragic late Saturday night, with one teenager killed and four more shot, authorities said. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Allen Stevens told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that deputies responded to the home on the 600 block of Ga. 279 in Fayetteville at about 11:50 p.m. Saturday. They found five teens shot at the residence. Four of the teens were taken to Atlanta-area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, Stevens said, but a fifth was pronounced dead at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.
