RIP.
I owned a PA-32 for about 15 years, sold a couple of years ago....
Great aircraft, my kids grew up flying all over the SE US....
They were true tarmac rats.....
My oldest daughter went to the Air Force Academy as a result Of our love of aviation....
Prayers for the family......

What was your secret for flying your own plane routinely while keeping everyone safe? It’s not for nothing that standard term life insurance only covers commercial flights.
Loved flying when I was younger. Sometimes flew short trips in smaller planes. Met lots of nice people - one in particular asked me “what is your favorite plane?”. Have no idea why I responded -”F16” He reached in his pocket and gave me a tiny F16 pin.
I treat it like jewelry. (may have told that story before;)
Training.... training...training..
Always watch your fuel levels and weather....
If in doubt, sit it out....
Also, there are plenty of life insurance companies that will write the policy, but you must declare prior that you are an active pilot...
That stated, in 15 years I had to declare 2 inflight emergencies.....both were mechanical failures.....
Again with the Breaking News abuse! - Knock it off...

A plane crash is not ‘breaking News’?
What is it then? Chit chat?
All airplanes must go though an annual..... also, the FAA issues repair notices that you must comply with if the airplane is considered airworthy. ...
You must be compliant regardless of cost.
Yeah..chat...just where I put it.

Kennedys flight was pilot error.... not maintenance related.....
Read NTSB reports on small plane crashes....
The majority are weather of fuel related..... pilot error....
Very few are maintenance related...
