Little Jack Hoffman stole the hearts of millions of Gridiron fans when he scored a brilliant touchdown live on TV in America. The seven-year-old, who has been fighting brain cancer since 2011 and has twice undergone surgery, was the special guest of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and given the special treat of running in a spectacular 69-yard touchdown in the team’s annual spring game. After picking the ball up from quarter-back Taylor Martinez, Jack rose to the cheers of the 60,000 crowd to sprint clear for brilliant score before being engulfed by both sets of players. It’s a snowy Saturday night in Boston, and the bros are moving in pack formation. As we trudge through the fresh powder toward South End, the 10 or so guys I’m walking with jostle and joke their way forward through the frigid air, bouncing with that particular surge of giddy energy you sometimes get when you’re hanging out with people you have never met in real life. As members of Gaybros—a Reddit-based community for gay guys with traditionally manly interests like sports, hunting, and beer—the large majority of their bonding takes place through comment threads under topics like “Ron Swanson...

By now, Brian Banks is used to waiting. He sat in prison for five years, punished for a crime he didn’t commit. Freed last May after the victim admitted she had falsely accused him, the former USC recruit has been trying patiently but persistently to get a shot at the NFL. Finally, he’s getting one. Jay Glazer of FOX, who has worked extensively with Banks to get him into NFL shape, reports that the Atlanta Falcons have signed Banks to a contract. Banks, a linebacker, received tryouts last year from the Seahawks, Chargers, and Chiefs. Eventually, he joined the UFL...

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson would rather North Korea not bomb anyone, but if they’re going to, he’s got a suggestion. Johnson posted on Twitter on Wednesday that North Korea should bomb Foxboro, Massachusetts, home of the AFC East rival New England Patriots, if they decide to go to war.

The Nevin Shapiro-Miami-NCAA controversy has created a new storyline in the NCAA sanctions of Penn State, with a fired NCAA investigator proclaiming the NCAA didn't impose anything against the university and that Penn State president Rodney Erickson "sold the school down the river." Earlier today, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel posted information about several emails between former NCAA investigator Ameen Najjar and Shapiro included in the bankruptcy case of Shapiro, the man imprisoned for a Ponzi scheme and charged by the NCAA with providing illicit benefits to University of Miami athletes. Amongst details about the NCAA's investigation of Shapiro was one...

Over Easter weekend, franchise quarterback Tony Romo signed a 6-year $108 million contract extension to remain with the Dallas Cowboys. While the estimated $18 million per year makes Romo the fifth highest paid player based on salary, he is actually the new highest paid player after taxes in the NFL. The Cowboys QB now claims the top spot previously held by Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints because of no state income tax in Texas. With Romo’s income tax burden being 39.6 percent – the top marginal federal income tax rate in the U.S. – and estimated tax liability...

The hype around WrestleMania 29 is enough to get casual and hardcore wrestling fans alike excited about the weekend in New York City, but the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and the class being inducted makes this event even more special. Finally, a lovely way to support Israel again! We used to be able to buy IMI made in Israel Uzis. Well now, IMI (Israel Military Industries) is gone. Now, we have Israel Weapons Industries, IWI! The Israeli bull pup, called the Tavor, is now made in America, along with the micro Uzi pistol! The Tavor even has a caliber conversion kit to enable it to shoot 9mm! How awesome is that?

ATLANTA Brian Banks said signing with the Atlanta Falcons is his second-biggest accomplishment. The biggest was Banks' exoneration of rape charges one year ago. Banks, 27, signed with the Falcons on Wednesday, giving him an opportunity he said he did not believe would be possible when he spent five years in prison and five years on probation following his conviction of rape and kidnapping charges a decade ago. "I felt at the time in order for me to exit prison with a sane mind and be able to just function as a person I had to let go of certain...

Mike Rice's three-year run at Rutgers has come to an end. The university terminated Rice's contract this morning following a meeting with athletic director Tim Pernetti in his office at the Rutgers Athletic Center. Rice's job status became tenuous when videotapes of his actions during practices from his first and second years on campus were made public by ESPN's "Outside the Lines" program on Tuesday. Rice was seen throwing basketballs at players — including one instance, throwing it at a player's head — as well as shoving players during a practice. He was also heard using the term "f------ faggot"...

Glide over any terrain, including grass, sand, and water. Golf carts haven't changed much over the years. They look and feel the same. What if there was a way to improve the traditional golf cart concept and take away some of the limitations?

Former New England Patriots coach Chuck Fairbanks died of brain cancer on Tuesday, according to the team. He was 79. Fairbanks coached the Patriots from 1973-78, leading the franchise to some of its greatest success by the end of his tenure, including two playoff berths. The Patriots were 3-11 prior to his arrival and went 11-3, 9-5 and 11-5 over his final three seasons. Fairbanks' Patriots legacy has been widely discussed, in part because of how his time with the franchise ended, with Fairbanks ultimately becoming head coach at Colorado in 1978. But most agree the foundation created by Fairbanks...

What takedown Bow would you recommend for someone who is right handed, but due to shoulder rotator-cup damage, doesn't have full strength in his right arm? He's interested in backpacking and wants enough pull strength to kill medium sized game, up to deer. Budget is a concern, but I don't want to buy him a piece of junk or a toy.

I coach 11 U Baseball. My team, like most in this age group just can't hit. We do fine against pitchers that don't throw strikes. If they throw strikes we don't hit. Usually without even swinging. These guys hit in practice and in the cage. But in games they go down just looking. How to get them swinging in games? Little help please?
