In a recent article by Marie Claire on how to bring on periods, the author said that the herb is a natural emmenagogue – meaning that it can stimulate or increase menstrual flow. While that is true, there’s a massive difference between sprinkling a bit of parsley over your pasta and shoving a bunch into your vagina. Marie Claire said: “Parsley can help to soften the cervix and level out hormonal imbalances that could be delaying your cycle, helping your period come faster.” “If you’re struggling to find a dish based on parsley, don’t panic – the most effective forms...

In his first monologue of the new year, Fox News host Tucker Carlson used his pique at Mitt Romney to announce that “market capitalism” is an idol of the Right that has strip-mined the nation of the chance for a middle-class life for “normal people” and left us, in large part, drug-addled and poor.Market capitalism was aided in this task by a government run by and for the elites, who “don’t care about your happiness” or prioritize your family, Carlson said.As someone who has lived 99 percent of his adult life within five miles of Flint, Michigan, ground zero for...

These are some vain thoughts from a "seasoned" citizen about how American Society should be run if I was a dictator. 1. After the 14 foot wall is built and razor-wired with electricity all border guards should be commanded to shoot on sight any attempt at illegal crossing. 2. Every school should be required to have a quota of concealed carry trained teachers in the classroom. 3. The only immigrants allowed in this country should be of Jewish or Christian origin 4. Food stamps should only be used to buy 100 lb sacks of flour, sugar, cured meat. 5. All...

There are many things that a person can do to improve themselves. In my case, I could lose some weight, and eat better. I could be kinder to people, and stop reading the news so much. I could spend more time with friends and family, and I could spend more time in nature. I think that if I did those things, I would be a better person. It’s not just me. I look around the world and see all kinds of things that could be improved with a modest amount of effort. The key here is the word “modest”. For...

With trust in governments taking a hit since the global financial crisis, people around the world view their employer as the most trusted institution in their lives, according to a survey published Monday. In a survey of trust in institutions that public relations firm Edelman releases each year on the eve of the World Economic Forum in the Swiss ski resort of Davos, the firm found that 75 percent of respondents trusted their employer. That’s a hefty 19 percentage points more than the equivalent trust in business as a whole and 27 points more than governments. …

Mueller, the wall impasse, the shutdown, the "postponement" of the SOTU – all are skirmishes in the undeclared war on President Trump waged by Democrats, the Deep State, and the compliant media. A decisive battle will be enjoined if Ruth Bader Ginsburg dies or resigns this year. Nothing scares the left more than the prospect of Trump filling another seat on the SCOTUS with a young, fire-breathing constitutionalist who would join with Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh to form a conservative bloc for the ages. Pelosi and Schumer are praying that Justice Ginsburg survives and remains on the bench until...

Jack Morrissey, a Hollywood Producer who is known for projects such as Beauty and the Beast and the Twilight Saga, called for minor teen high school boys to be murdered in a violent, gruesome manner. Mr. Morrissey joined the hate-filled media and piled on the Covington Catholic students after deceptively edited videos of the teens were posted to Twitter accusing them of harassing a Native American man. Full video of the incident shows the teens did nothing wrong — they were ambushed by blacks calling them “crackers” and the Native Indian man is a far left activist who harassed the...

I have a new fear. And this oneÂ’s a doozy. Having weathered more than one social-Âmedia s- -t storm, IÂ’m one column away from the round of mob opprobrium that sinks my career for good. A single unacceptable sentiment, a word usage misconstrued, a sentence taken out of context suffices these days to implode a reputation decades in the making and to trigger ÂMcCarthyite blacklisting. But that isnÂ’t the fear in its entirety. Suppose a perceived violation of progressive orthodoxy translates into the kind of institutional cowardice on display in the forced resignation of Ian Buruma from The New York Review...

This week’s Saturday Night Live episode, hosted by Rachel Brosnahan, featured a Kool-Aid parody of Gillette’s Super Bowl “We Believe” ad, which sparked controversy when the commercial addressed issues concerning toxic masculinity. The sketch opens up with an ’80s-themed ad featuring two teenage boys talking about how thirsty they are after a basketball practice. The Kool-Aid man then bursts through a wall with a jug of Kool-Aid saying his signature “Oh yeah!” while the excited boys say “I wanna be like Kool-Aid!”

Facebook employees have been caught leaving glowing reviews on Amazon for Facebook's new video-chat device. Facebook released the Portal, a video-chat and smart-speaker device, in October. It's the first hardware product built and sold under the Facebook brand. The new gadget has already faced some hardship, as Facebook acknowledged that it could collect data about its owners to help the company target ads at people.

David Stephenson, store manager of Cedar City Deseret Industries, promised his team that if they met their sales goals, he would run at least 200 loops around the roundabout outside of their office—and he would do it in his work clothes: a shirt, tie, and slacks. “Where I work, we train individuals to get better jobs,” he explained. “They all face different challenges in their lives, so I’m always looking for any opportunity to show them that you can do hard things, even if some thing seem impossible—or not the smartest thing to do, in my case—you can still accomplish...

I can hit the golf ball any way I can and laugh if it goes in the lake. That's the breaks. I'm just happy I can still hit that golf ball. As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend. I have seen too many dear friends leave this world, too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging. Whose business is it, if I choose to read, or play, on the computer, until 4 AM, or sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful...

RUSH: This is Brian in Monroe, Louisiana. You’re next. It’s great to have you, sir. Hi. CALLER: Good afternoon, Rush. Like I said, I do live in the South, and I work for the Federal Aviation Administration as a technician. And I am for President Trump building a wall. I think it’s necessary for our safety of our country. I do believe that. But I also feel that Representative Pelosi and him, they need to sit down and talk this out and don’t use the government’s workers as pawns. I mean, we should not be involved in it. That’s something...
