It isn’t too hard to imagine this becoming problematic for Sarah Palin on the campaign trail, as noted by the Tax Foundation: In case you missed it, small government crusader and Tea Party favorite Sarah Palin’s TLC reality show “Sarah Palin’s Alaskaâ€Â received a $1.2 million subsidy from the state of Alaska. The show spent $3.6 million on production in the state, meaning that Alaskan taxpayers covered a third of the cost of the show. The show will apparently not have a second season. Because Palin is no longer a public official, she does not have to disclose her income; if she...

Sarah Palin may be the social media queen when it comes to going directly to her constituency (and the media), but she and her team have a ways to go when it comes to basic public relations skills.

The 2012 presumed GOP presidential hopeful proved that during the past week, when all eyes were on the mass shooting in Tucson, Ariz. And her exclusive interview Monday night with Sean Hannity on Fox News (the network that employs her) didn't help.

Over the course of the past few decades, entertainment produced in Hollywood, news commentary written by feminized journalists, and propaganda spread by political action groups focused on protecting the environment have dealt a near death blow to masculinity via their all out demonization of guns, hunting, and manliness in general. And over the course of the past few weeks, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has single-handedly used her television show (Sarah PalinÂ’s Alaska) to reverse this trend and restore manliness to its rightful place once again. She did this first by clubbing a halibut to death after catching it in...

TLC describes this week's episode as follows: Sarah welcomes Kate Gosselin and her children to Alaska. To prepare for a camping trip with the kids, Sarah takes Kate to a bear safety class for rifle practice. Then Kate and the kids experience the wilderness braving the challenges of camping in Alaska....lol. Be that as it may, Sarah Palin tweeted, Life=10% circumstances, 90% your reaction to circumstances. Sunday's "Sarah Palin's AK 'Alaskan Hospitality'" episode illustrates that a bit 8:46 AM Dec 10th via Twitter for BlackBerry® Popcorn and pure enjoyment - the Palins, Heaths and 8 plus Kate!

Thankfully it wasn’t though. Sure there are the obligatory comments from Kate about how crazy all this outdoorsy, gun shooting, camping stuff seems to her. But this episode was really more about how much kids can learn from being exposed to the great outdoors. And about how experiences like that can bring families closer together. Sarah’s father, Chuck Heath, is featured again in this episode. He is a retired science teacher and his house is like a nature museum — full of fun and interesting things for kids to look at and touch like beaver skulls and porcupine quills...

Take a good look at this video. It is only 30 seconds long, but it encapsulates how right Karl Rove is about Palin's TV career -- and why she will never be president of the United States. The video comes from the TLC cable channel and it is intended to promote this week's episode of "Sarah Palin's Alaska," the reality TV show starring Palin bludgeoning fish to death and shooting caribou. Of course, I found both ugly and digusting... Palin sold herself too cheap when she got into bed with TLC, Kate Gosselin and TV shows that celebrate polygamy and...

Apparently, some people are spreading rumors online that Sarah Palin didn’t have the proper permits for the caribou hunt that was featured in this past Sunday’s epsiode. As you can see for yourself, this rhetoric doesn’t stand up to reality. (snip) We’ve heard that our friends at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game have been inundated with requests for copies of her hunting license and caribou tags. Hopefully, this post and video can put those questions to rest so these diligent state workers can focus on more pressing matters than disproving rumors.

My admiration for the former governor notwithstanding, for over a decade now my reality show viewing has never left the delightfully disturbing and fascinating world of true crime prison breaks, forensic detectives, deadly women and wicked attractions. But I’ve come to like and admire the Palin family because seeing who they are and what they stand for celebrated in the current era of popular culture is such a rare thing. Because I’m simplistic I tend to break the world down into three simple categories: Category one is made up of those who keep the world safe: our military, police, firefighters....

Sunday’s episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska attracted 3 million viewers – that’s more viewer’s more than the 2.4 million viewers who tuned in for the best performing season finale of AMC’s hit series, Mad Men. As expected with any highly anticipated series, this week’s ratings dipped from last week’s record-setting ratings of 4.96 million viewers. It’s of course difficult to determine everything that affects ratings, but some are speculating that Sunday Night Football and the American Music Awards may have had an impact on the numbers. Find more information about these ratings at Hollywood Reporter. Don’t let pundits fool with...

After setting a TLC ratings record last week, Sarah Palin's reality show plummeted for its second episode. Sarah Palin's Alaska fell 40% on Sunday night to 3 million viewers. Not many were in the key adult demo either. Only 885,000 viewers were ages 18-49, dropping 44% from last week. In fact, the median age of the show is 57 -- that's 15 years older than TLC's average. TLC expected a ratings drop coming off the high-flying premiere; executives realized some of their numbers were driven by sheer curiosity rather than eagerness to see an Alaska-based travelogue reality show. Competition from...

I am confident that by now, you have all read about Sarah Palin's Alaska program. I'm also confident that you have all been witness to the MSM's overtime/overkill effort to destroy Sarah Palin's reputation. One of the barrage of tactics the MSM has been resorting to is to brand Sarah Palin's Alaska as a "reality tv" show. Some of your have been guilty of assisting the MSM by posting stories which include the description of this particular show as being a "reality" program. I would like to encourage all my fellow Freepers out there to call the show what it...

The premiere of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” on cable television this week felt more like a formality than a new career direction. In any meaningful sense, Ms. Palin has starred in her own reality show since she left the governor’s office last year, functioning more as a cultural symbol than as a politician and earning a Hollywood-size fortune in the process. What made all this possible, when you think back to Ms. Palin’s debut as a national figure in 2008, wasn’t actually her recognizable identity as a scourge of liberal government and values, but rather her lack of a political identity...

This has not exactly been a November to Remember for the DUmmies. First came Tsunami Tuesday, when the Republican Red Wave swept across the land, turning DU into Democratic Underwater. Then last week came the Return of Chimpus Khan, reawakening the DUmmies' Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS), followed closely by the news that those tax breaks for the evil rich will soon become the Bush-OBAMA Tax Cuts. Now, last night, comes the premiere of "The Adventures of Caribou Barbie," aka "Sarah Palin's Alaska," sparking an outbreak of Palin Madness Syndrome (PMS), the natural successor to BDS. Clearly, for the DUmmies,...
