    Washington Times ^ | October 10, 2017 | Bradford Richardson
On the same day that Jemele Hill was suspended from ESPN for tweeting about politics, another network personality, Michael Wilbon, compared Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to a slave owner. Mr. Wilbon, co-host of "Pardon the Interruption," took issue with Mr. Jones' stance that players who do not stand for the national anthem before football games will not play. "And the word that comes to my mind―and I don’t care who doesn't like me using it―is plantation," Mr. Wilbon said on Monday’s show. "The players are here to serve me, and they will do what I want. No matter how...

48hrs After Black Players Break White QB's Back For Standing For Anthem, Chiefs Star Sends Sick Message To Furious Fans ...... Protests within the NFL have taken a nasty racist turn over the past several weeks, after Seahawks player Michael Bennett started a sick new trend where black players are now rendering black power salutes anytime they sack a white player on the field. The NFL has an even bigger scandal brewing however, after white Raiders quarterback Derek Carr had his back broken over the weekend during a tackle, where some sports commentators are speculating that Carr’s all-black offensive line...

Fox Sports says they will not air any live anthem coverage from any other game except for the London contest between the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints. Last week, the network aired the national anthem from games as more than 250 players took a knee during the anthem to protest President Trump calling for NFL players to be fired for what he says as disrespect to the flag. The Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks chose not to even leave their respective lockers during the anthem. "As we have in previous broadcasts of NFL games from London, Fox will show...

Not gonna do it. No NFL party. No TV screen with football on it. Kinda chilly. Probably an indoor activity. It may be a good time for a MAGA rally.
  • NFL owners struggled to retain control after Trump's attacks, rise of player protests

"It certainly was my takeaway that the commissioner was looking for a way for the protests to end," Smith said Friday when asked about his 30-minute conversation with Goodell, while declining to offer specifics about what was discussed. Goodell declined to comment, but a league source did not dispute Smith's account. "Knowing the league the way I know the league, they are first and foremost concerned about the impact on their business," Smith said. "That's always their first concern. I mean, who are we kidding?" Nobody was kidding when many of the NFL's highest-profile owners, including Robert Kraft of the...

And if the company’s hotline is to be believed, the NFL has something to be concerned about. When customers call the number, 1-800-342-5283, they are greeted by a recording which gives, as its first option, a chance for anyone for or against the player protests to voice their opinions. “If you are calling with questions or comments about Anheuser-Busch’s sponsorship of the NFL, press one,” the recorded voice says.
  • Thousands Rally in Dublin Against Ireland’s Abortion Ban

    New York Times ^ | September 30th 2017 | Megan Specia
Thousands of people marched in Dublin on Saturday to demand an end to the country’s constitutional ban on abortion, one of the strictest such laws in the Western world. The March for Choice is an annual protest against the Eighth Amendment to the Irish Constitution, which enshrines a ban on abortions, but this year it was held just days after the government announced it would hold a referendum next year that could potentially change the law. Saturday’s rally in Ireland’s capital drew demonstrators from across the country and led to solidarity events in several British cities. Crowds marched through the...

after weeks of listening to LEFTIST NFL players come up with every excuse for there behavior I have come up with a demand for the NFL. I want them to require all of there players and coaches to enter a sensitivity training program where they can be educated to the necessities of patriotism and the needs of are military and retired military. the use of sensitivity training programs in areas like sex discrimination and discrimination against the homosexual community is all ready being used with in the NFL league when ever a player runs afoul of the society norm. one...

Dallas Police Chief David Brown has been through hell and he's handling it like only a true leader can. During a press conference Monday, Brown issued a challenge to Black Lives Matter protestors demanding change around policing in their communities: Join us and make a difference. "We're hiring," Brown said. "Get off that protest line and put an application in." "We’ll put you in your neighborhood, and we’ll help you resolve some of the problems you’re protesting about,” he continued. Brown grew up in the inner city and decided to become a police officer during the national crack cocaine epidemic....

Saints' Kenny Vaccaro explains choice to sit during anthem, says half his foundation's members left BY NICK UNDERHILL | nunderhill@theadvocate.com Sep 29, 2017 - 10:42 am (3) SUNBURY-ON-THAMES, England — The Saints plan to take a knee before the national anthem of Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins, and then stand during the playing of the song, in what they want to be a show of unity. New Orleans had 10 players remain seated on the bench during the playing of the anthem last week against the Carolina Panthers, which came after President Donald Trump said any player who kneeled...

I didn't realize how bad the NFL's concussion problem was until many of its players developed kneeling sickness during the singing of the national anthem. . The kneelers claim they are protesting racism, but kneeling is usually done as a form of submission, not a form of protest. In the NFL, a player who fields a kickoff in the end zone will kneel to show he doesn't plan to run with the ball. Late in the game the quarterback on the team that is leading will "take a knee" to run out the clock. Kneeling is what a slave may...

    The (Baton Rouge, LA) Advocate ^ | September 28, 2017 | Staff
A new poll has found that more than half of Louisiana voters surveyed think some form of punishment should befall NFL players who protest during the national anthem. Of the 525 registered voters surveyed in a poll sponsored by the University of New Orleans, 30.2 percent said players should be fired, while an additional 26.6 percent said they should be fined. The remaining 43.2 percent answered that neither of those things should happen. The sentiment comes following a week of leaguewide protests that saw one or more players on 18 different teams kneel during the anthem. The protests have been...

NEW YORK (AP) — Through three weeks, viewership for national telecasts of NFL games is down 11 percent this season compared to 2016, the Nielsen company said on Tuesday. Nielsen said the games averaged 17.63 million viewers for the first three weeks of last season, and have dipped to 15.65 million this year. The Nielsen figures don’t include many of the Sunday afternoon games that are shown to a regional audience, but not a national one.

Owner Jerry Jones joined his team in taking a knee. The Cowboys then stood up and linked arms for the national anthem. The Dallas Cowboys all took knees on the field and the Arizona Cardinals linked arms across from them before their Monday Night Football game, a move that followed a closely-watched Sunday in which NFL teams and their owners rebuked President Donald Trump’s criticism of athletes protesting during the national anthem.

When the Bills took a knee a stadium worker chose to take a walk. New Era Field employee Erich Nikischer quit his job at the stadium after 30 years Sunday after several Bills players knelt during the national anthem and others locked arms in response to President Donald Trump's remarks. "I waited until the National Anthem ended, I took off my shirt, threw my Bills hat on the ground, walked out," Nikischer told WGRZ. He also said he will never go back to New Era Field again and he won't watch another NFL game until protests stop.
