About damned time! It was one thing when the NFL exhibited the best of America, back in the 50s and 60s, but now, it exhibits what is depraved and immoral in America.
This non profit theocratic gravy train has got to stop. My speech is being taxed so the NfL can “speak up” , or, rather, SPEAK DOWN to me and my country.

The federal’s hand in religious preference affairs has completly divided this country. It is disgusting, on the level when Christ chastised the Pharisees of hypocrisy for being subsidized by Ceasar as informants with his secured coinage while pretending they were for Israeli independence from Ceasar.
This is outrageous - they avoid paying taxes to free up money to pay these malcontents huge salaries, only to have said malcontents stick their middle finger up at those who DO pay taxes, as well as their salaries! Something wrong with this picture....who gave them these selected tax breaks? Joe Main Street doesn’t get such consideration.
I remember a few years ago when this first came to light. I think there were even some Congressional hearings about it. But the NFL was the 800 lb. gorilla and nothing came of it. Maybe not the case this time.
It goes way beyond the NFL. The entire corrupt "non-profit" universe is ripe for reform. Why does Harvard University, with it's 40 billion dollar endowment and it's ownership of some of the country's most valuable real estate pay no taxes while working families in Boston and Cambridge are taxed and fined out the wazoo?
I thought it was Matt Gaetz of Florida that called for it.
The NFL is no longer tax-exempt and the ownrs/teams never were.

I don’t think so. They will lobby their friends in congress and give them free tickets and other favors to get them to block any changes to their taxes. In other words, they will buy off the corrupt congress like everyone else does.

Non Profits cannot take any political stance so the NFL should lose its status over that alone. Screw them all.

If Trump really wanted to make them crap their drawers he would threaten an anti-trust investigation to break up the NFL Monopoly. It would be an open and shut case and the owners know it....
I think the congress critters know which way the wind is blowing on this one.
the NFL is no longer a non profit. They likely still get big tax breaks as many companies get varying tax breaks, write offs etc..
Its not necessarily how the wind blows. More often its how the money flows.
As Will Rogers said “we have the best congress money can buy”.
