If we are to be successful in our revolution to rid the government of its corrupted politicians (I think that's just about all of them) then we must separate the politicians from their money supplies. The fundamental problem in American Politics today is that our politicians are completely dependent upon; therefore, subservient to big money donors and lobbyists. To win a political campaign you need money, and lots of it, because people vote based upon name recognition and image. We, the ordinary folks, a.k.a. "We the People," don't offer any value to a politician because we don't hold the key...

Hundreds of protesters have gathered near the White House to try and start a new anti-war movement. Saturday's demonstration closely follows President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize speech, in which he said war is sometimes needed to establish lasting peace. Demonstrators in Washington opposed this view, as well as the president's request for 30,000 more U.S. troops in Afghanistan. "Make it personal, make it personal, because killing is personal. It's immoral. It's personal," chanted protesters. Former Democratic Alaska Senator and 2008 presidential candidate Mike Gravel led protesters in anti-war chants, while calling for a mass movement to help end U.S. wars...

PEACE activists have carried mock coffins through New York to protest against President Barack Obama's Nobel Peace Prize. About 50 demonstrators walked from outside the United Nations to the military recruiting office on Times Square in central Manhattan. Walking to a slow drumbeat, they carried black cardboard coffins, the first of which was draped in the US flag. "Barack Obama does not deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, especially after his recent announcement that he will escalate the war in Afghanistan," said Will Travers, 30, who helped carry one of the coffins.

The city of Berkeley made an official statement on abortion Wednesday by sending coat hangers — a symbol of illegal abortions — to 20 Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives who voted to restrict federal funding for abortions in the health care bill. Councilmember Kriss Worthington, who co-sponsored the item before the City Council on Tuesday night with Susan Wengraf and Linda Maio, put the coat hangers and an official city letter in the mail Wednesday. "The coat hanger represents the time when women had to have abortions in back alleys and tried to self-abort," Wengraf said. "My initial...

North Korean Money Shift Sparks Violence By EVAN RAMSTAD SEOUL -- New reports emerged Tuesday of protests and deadly violence in North Korea as the country's authoritarian regime over the past week seized most of its citizens' money and savings via a new-currency issue. Open Radio for North Korea, a Seoul-based shortwave radio station that broadcasts news to the North, said police killed two men in Pyongsong, a market center outside of Pyongyang, on Friday after they divided their savings among a large group of people and urged them to exchange the money for them, attempting to get around the...

Security forces and militiamen clashed with thousands of protesters shouting "death to the dictator" outside Tehran University on Monday, beating them with batons and firing tear gas on a day of nationwide student demonstrations, witnesses said. The rallies were the largest in months, bringing tens of thousands out on more than a dozen campuses around the country and in several major squares in Tehran as university students — a bedrock of support for the pro-reform movement — energized the opposition. Climate protests held around the world2009-10-24 19:31 Paris - Kicking off with thousands gathering on the steps of Sydney's iconic Opera House, global warming protests took place around the world Saturday to mark 50 days before the UN climate summit. From Asia to Europe via the Middle East, activists staged lively events addressing world leaders and to mobilise public opinion around climate issues. Many waved placards bearing the logo 350, referring to 350 parts per million (ppm) of CO2 in the atmosphere which scientists say must not be exceeded to avoid runaway global warming. France's politicians received a "wake up"...
  • Is it time to throw tea into the harbor?

When our petitions could not be ignored they were ridiculed. If we continue to rally will they someday consider our demands? If half or more of our productive efforts are used to sustain those who enslave us we may die of exhaustion while fighting against our own strength. Is it time to really throw tea into the harbor yet? There may be cost effective ways to do this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZDZzbUxrnM If we are going to restore our Constitution there is a long struggle ahead. LIMIT GOVERNMENT it can not be trusted! LIMIT GOVERNMENT limit the Change that tyrants can Hope for!...

Deputy director general Mark Byford has said it is not the BBC's role to censor the BNP as criticism mounts ahead of the party's Question Time appearance. He said the BNP's Euro vote meant the BBC had to allow it on as part of its "responsibility of due impartiality". Cabinet minister Peter Hain had asked the BBC to rethink its invitation to the whites-only political party. Ex-London Mayor Ken Livingstone said the BBC would bear moral responsibility for any "spike" in racist attacks. And the Equality and Human Rights Commission said the party's membership rules were currently illegal and it...

The overwhelmingly Catholic country currently allows only abortion in the cases of rape, fetal abnormality, or when the mother’s physical or mental health is at risk. But the proposed law, introduced by socialist Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, would allow abortion for any reason during the first 14 weeks of pregnancy...

Last week was Columbus Day, once considered a major event, the holiday has been undergoing a decline in recent years. Columbus Day parades have met with protests and some have been deemphasized or outright eliminated. In California, Columbus Day become Indigenous People’s Day, which sounds vaguely like a Marxist terrorist group’s holiday. But while it’s tempting to put that down to California’s political correctness, in South Dakota, Columbus Day became Native American Day, and that is a trend that other states are likely to follow, as protests mounted under the aegis of La Raza (The Race- the Hispanic KKK) continue...

We had 1000 people there. I love the way the organizers got everyone to sign up and wear a tag to prove how many showed up. They are also sending each of those tags (with names and addresses on them) to CNN so they can see how many showed up. We got a 3 for 1 that day. We marched past CNN shouting "CNN: Tell the Truth", we marched past the Federal Reserve shouting, "Stop Printing Money", and Past the AJC shouting, "Dinosaur Death Watch." Unfortunately I missed the Patriot Guard on their Harley's. It was a good day though.

ST. PETERSBURG — More than 100 protesters marched outside the entrance to the main office of the St. Petersburg Times Saturday morning, accusing the newspaper and the media in general of biased reporting on conservative positions on issues such as health care reform and government spending. Protesters carried signs that read "State Run Media," or "Take the Left From Your Slant" and "Journalism Malpractice — Just Report the Facts." Protesters generally complained about media bias on national issues, accusing the "liberal media" of supporting the Obama administration on a variety of issues and then inaccurately portraying the political right as...

After action report of yesterday's Chicago "Can you hear us NOW?" march on the media. Approximately 100 patriots gathered at 4:00pm outside of ABC news studios on State Street in Chicago. We sang God Bless America, The National Anthem and chanted "report the news" "do your jobs" "can you hear us now?" etc... After about 1/2 hour, we marched on over to CBS News studios. The folks at CBS saw us coming and pulled down the window shades to the studio. LOL, cowards. More chanting commenced. The protest was to last until 6pm, but I left at about 5:30 as...
