Don't usually post vanities. My mom is unconscious today and has been diagnosed with throat cancer (non smoker) about two weeks ago. Stage IV, with a throat closure of about 80%. She is currently breathing shallow and Hospice and family are by her side. She is the last surviving parent I have as I lost my dad and twin brother 5 years ago. Our resident chef carlo3b (Carlo Morelli), is in urgent need of prayer. On Tuesday he underwent a complicated surgery and is in ICU on a ventilator. On Wednesday his kidneys were not functioning properly and he was taken back into surgery. His daughter reports that he is doing much better, but still in danger. He has many FRiends here at Free Republic and I'm sure he and his family would appreciate your prayers and any good thoughts you could send his way.

This is a prayer thread for Mesta. I've been on the phone with her for hours today/yesterday (my sense of time is getting a little frassled), and we need a great amount of prayer. Mesta went down hard a few days ago, I was on the phone when it happened and I heard her hit the floor and scream, then a bunch of running, slamming doors and chaos before the line went dead. It was a couple of days before I was able to get her status and got my proper links to her hospital, and it doesn't look good....

My surviving Grandfather on my mothers side is knocking at the Lords door. It will be any time now. He was born march 13 1912, and he is passing at the house he retired in, in the mountains, with family, and never spent any time in hospitals and such.

Prayers for a dear friend's husband, please

Please pray for my husband. He is in the hospital. He has congestive heart failure, so it is not as functional as it should be. His heart is also leaking, so it is working much harder than it should. He was lucky to make it this far. There are further tests to go on today to see what can be done. Please keep him in your prayers. God bless.

Mom is going into surgery in a few. She threw a new blood clot. They tried to remove it yesterday but couldn't. She has been in ICU with clot buster meds all night long. So now they are going back in for another try this morning.

My wife has an interview at the Omaha VA Medical Center for one of 5 VERY SCARCE RN positions this morning.

Please pray for my family. My youngest son is very ill. This has been going on for two weeks. He is 22 years old. I can count on one hand how many times this kid has been sick, so this is a rare situation for him. Our doctor has run lab work (include blood and urine) and done an ultrasound without any conclusive diagnosis. They are running more tests as of yesterday with no results as yet. My sister Barb has cancer on the brain now. According to her doctors today, she is in dire need of care. Part of the roller coaster of the last few days (especially for me, because I was dead-set against it) is that she has abandoned regular medicine and has gone in for the "naturopath" route of tons of supplements and the like. Now we need to confront her and get her to change her mind. The doctors told her husband it is imperative; time is of the essence. An 8-year old girl died in an early evening crash Monday in Ralston. Her two sisters and mother were injured. Hello everyone- Very scary day over here. My 39 yr old wife suffered an instaneous, out of the blue headache this morning and collapsed. 'Person of interest' questioned after Chicago cop shot

A friend and former co-worker of mine is fighting for his life against another onset of cancer. He had surgery two weeks ago to have his colon removed. The surgery seemed to go well, but things went badly a few days ago. Elevated blood pressure, erratic heart, 104 temperature, and he went into a coma. More surgery to find out what's wrong is needed, but can't happen until he is stable. Slight improvement in the last two days. Leonard needs your prayer power.
