As I have reported, 4 year old Allie, a member of my extended family was in ICU in Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) being treated for a serious infection of unknown origin. Because of the great care and attention Allie is getting, she has rallied and is now on a path to recovery and return to her mom and dad.
Because of some of the extreme effects of her illness, Allie has been left with some brain damage. The extent of the damage is undetermined at this point but it is nonetheless, real and something that must be worked on. Allie's doctors think that she could possibly have a great degree of recovery given her young age (4 years old.) That chance for recovery from the brain damage leaves the door open for a miracle.
I ask you to join us in praying for the full and complete recovery we know Jesus can give her.
I’ll keep them all in my prayers, don’t you worry.

I know a little girl who went through very similar treatments, at the same age, and no one thought she would make it. Like Allie, she was diagnosed with brain damage, but has lived to be twenty years old, and seems to be more intelligent than most 20 year olds I have met. Her healing is up to God and your’s and our prayers! Keep up the good work!

The field of neuroplasticity is just beginning to get the recognition it deserves. Children are especially responsive to such treatment or therapy as their brains are still developing.

Holy Father, we ask in the Name of Jesus for the complete healing of Allie’s brain and any other damage caused by the infection. We give You thanks and praise for overcoming that infection. Let her go home soon to her family, dear Lord Amen.
Thank you for allowing us to share this burden and lay it at the cross of Jesus. Love and prayers for all.

Thank you, LORD, that You have given young brains amazing recuperative powers, but even if that be not so, You are able to do exceeding abundantly beyond anything we could ask or even think! Bless and keep her parents as they trust in You. Amen.
