On the day before the Wisconsin primary, an Emerson College Polling Society poll shows Ted Cruz maintaining a 5 point lead over Donald Trump. On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders has an 8 point lead over Hillary Clinton. The ECPS poll of likely Republican primary voters fits squarely with the results of other polls tracked by Real Clear Politics. RCP currently has Cruz up 6.5 in its latest average of polls (which includes the Emerson poll). Cruz wins with men (43%-36%) and women (35%-32%) and leads Trump strongly among Republicans (46%-31%). That last result tracks with Trump’s favorability among Republicans...

Steven Shepard of Politico wrote an important article last week about Donald Trump's "rock bottom" ratings with women. And his low standing with women has certainly become a much-discussed topic among pundits analyzing the Donald Trump candidacy. An overlooked story, however, is that Hillary Clinton, who might become the first female president in the history of the United States, isn't far behind in her unfavorability ratings among women. Our just-released poll shows that Donald Trump has a 68 percent unfavorable rating among women. But 58 percent of women say they view Hillary Clinton unfavorably. In fact, Hillary's unfavorable rating was...

OK let me try this again. I tried to post this once, but the thread was pulled, apparently I improperly credited the story. Here it is again: You will find this story referenced at the link above. The link above is just a website. However it (apparently) links within that website, to coverage on Fox 2 of a poll from this weekend of a poll, in Wisconsin, which shows the following percentages: (this is from the linked videoclip, not the story itself) Trump 41% Cruz 32% Kasich 19% Please note, there is included at the link (included in the story)...

Donald Trump wins this week's GOP Straw Poll in Delaware. This week the Sussex County Republican Party held its Presidential Primary "straw poll" at the GOP Headquarters in Georgetown. While the turn-out was moderate, the results were very interesting. Donald Trump won the poll with 72-percent of the vote; coming in second was Ted Cruz with 21- percent of the vote, followed by John Kasich with 7-percent. The format and names on the Straw Poll ballots duplicated that of the sample ballot provided by the State Election Office in Georgetown. They included the names of Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, and...

....But among the voters most likely to turn out, the poll shows the race between Trump and Cruz is nearly tied, with Trump at 36% versus Cruz at 35%. The difference illustrates how a low turnout in the June 7 primary could hurt Trump and boost Cruz....

The Basswood Research survey of 500 likely Republican primary voters, conducted on March 19 and 20, shows the Texas senator leading Trump by 4.8 points, 36.2 to 31.4. Ohio Gov. John Kasich trails with 20.8. Cruz’s lead expands dramatically in a head-to-head contest with Trump. If Kasich were to drop out before the primary, 47.8 percent of respondents say they would back Cruz, compared to just 36.2 percent for Trump.

Fresh polling from Fox News confirms an emerging trend: While his GOP rivals poll competitively or ahead of presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump consistently trails her by a substantial margin. The new national survey shows Ohio Governor John Kasich -- who has no mathematical path to the nomination -- leading Clinton by a whopping 11 points (51/40), with Texas Senator Ted Cruz edging the former Secretary of State by three points (47/44). By contrast, controversial real estate tycoon Donald Trump trails Clinton by 11 points (38/49). Roughly half of registered voters say they'd be "scared" Trump wins the...

EMERSON POLL: WISCONSIN PRIMARY IN PLAY FOR BOTH PARTIES; CRUZ LEADS TRUMP BY A POINT; CLINTON UP 6 OVER SANDERS; CRUZ FARES BETTER THAN TRUMP IN GENERAL AGAINST CLINTON.

If today’s poll from Quinnipiac is to be believed, both major parties are well on their way to ensuring a low-turnout election in November — or perhaps a high turnout of people voting against someone. In their national survey, both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton enjoy healthy leads over rivals within their own party’s voters, but also healthy skepticism in general election matchups. They are the two most unpopular choices for voters when it comes to casting the final ballot. The GOP side of the survey shows Trump with 43%, while Ted Cruz gets 29% and John Kasich gets 16%....

A new New York Times-CBS poll was released on Monday. The results show candidate Donald Trump has gained an additional 11 points in the past 30 days and now leads with 46% support nationally. All that Trump bashing by GOP elites has only helped the GOP front-runner. The #Never Trump crowd is hurt the most. The poll also shows that only 17% of Republicans today would not support Donald Trump. 19% of Republicans said they would not support Ted Cruz. In other words only 17% of Republican voters agree with the #NeverTrump crowd. That has to hurt. It must feel...

If Republicans nominate Donald Trump as their presidential candidate, he would be the least popular major party nominee in at least three decades of Washington Post-ABC News polling. Trump's unfavorable rating stood at 67 percent - two-thirds of all Americans - in a March Post-ABC poll, including 56 percent who had a "strongly" unfavorable impression of him. Just 3 in 10 had a favorable impression of Trump (15 percent "strongly"). American politicians tend to be more unpopular than usual these days, but it's hard to overstate how bad Trump's numbers are with all Americans. In fact, Trump's highly negative ratings...

Donald Trump continues to be the top choice of Republican voters in the race for their party's nomination, according to a new CNN/ORC poll. The poll finds little appetite for replacing the delegate leader and front-runner with another candidate at the convention or through a third-party run, but most of those opposed to Trump's candidacy continue to pine for another option.

ATLANTA - The day before Arizona Republicans cast their ballots, a new poll for FOX 5 and sister station FOX 10 Phoenix shows businessman Donald Trump is poised to win the Arizona primary with nearly 50% of the vote.
