CNN/ORC poll: Trump, Clinton remain on top
CNN ^ | March21, 2016 | Jennifer Agiesta, CNN Polling Director

Donald Trump continues to be the top choice of Republican voters in the race for their party's nomination, according to a new CNN/ORC poll.

The poll finds little appetite for replacing the delegate leader and front-runner with another candidate at the convention or through a third-party run, but most of those opposed to Trump's candidacy continue to pine for another option.

boy they both slam trump in a general poll. sanders by 20 and Hillary by 12.

white male vote will have to be about 80/20 for Trump in order for him to win.

these polls come from the same sources picking the primaries pretty well.

but November is a long ways away.

shoot away with the name calling :)

Trump will win the nomination.

Sane people understand its either him or Hillary.

Forget about that mythical third party candidate...

I look at it this way, Trump has been able to turn everything else in this election on it’s head. Who says his unfavorables are engraved in stone.

It’s not like there are any guarantees where “a woman’s prerogative” is concerned.

If you showed 100 Democrats a photo of Cruz, maybe 5% would have a clue who he is. Thanks for your concern..

No name calling. Reagan was 20 points behind Carter at this point in 1980. So, what does it really mean that fringe lunatic liberals are ahead now? Nothing. The election is a long way off like in 1980. And Trump’s numbers are growing. History speaks.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz follows at 31%, with Ohio Gov. John Kasich the preferred choice of 17% of GOP voters.

All the polls said Romney was the best person to take on Obama. Many polls this far out (got back and check) had Romney winning or very competitive in Massachusetts and if memory serves NJ. These polls try to sway opinion rather than capture it

Oh Oh! Poor Hillary, we all know her so well.
Or have known someone a lot like her.
Sharon Stone would play her well, but Sharon would first need ‘work done’ to diminish some of her feminine features. Glenn Close also. 10000 Dalmatians!

Not necessarily worried about the head to head matchups at the moment. Trump has been essentially assailed from all corners since the get go and the last two months in particular. The media has been manufacturing “Trump has done it now” stories since June 2015. His own party has been attacking him daily and openly talking about a contested convention. Cruz and Kasich have had comparitively little press, good bad or indifferent. Likewise, the media never discusses Hillary’s legal issues or Bernie being an outright Socialist. Once Trump secures the nomination, the party will slowly coalesce. Once the general starts Hillary will not be able to hide from Trump’s daily attacks. Plus, there’s always the off chance that the media cooks these polls to show Trump getting beat and Cruz and Kasich doing well because they are afraid of Trump and only too happy to run against Cruz and Kasich. The media wouldn’t do this would they???
