PHOENIX (AP) — The four people responsible for 21 dogs who died at a Gilbert kennel three months ago should face felony charges for cruel animal neglect, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Tuesday. Arpaio said his office forwarded its investigation into the June 20 deaths at Green Acres Boarding Kennel to prosecutors for review.

It happened in Omaha, Nebraska early on Tuesday morning.  Barb Haley was home alone, with her dog, Dozer.   Her husband was traveling for work.   She awoke to go to the restroom when Dozer ran out of the bedroom, barking.    Barb found the garage door open and drawers that appeared as if someone had rifled through them.   When she heard a crash, she retrieved her husband's pistol from the nightstand. Yesterday, a man was arrested and charged with hate crimes for "anti-white" attacks in Central Park last week. Suspect Edward Fall, 20, was charged in two incidents in which he and a group of people allegedly shot pellet guns at white joggers in the park. Fall gave up two of his fellow attackers to police, and blamed them for shooting people—and he also claims that they took bets on hitting targets. MILLS, Wyo. A Wyoming police officer has pleaded not guilty to an animal-cruelty charge that alleges a police dog died after he left it in a hot patrol car for several hours. According to an investigator's statement filed in Natrona County Circuit Court, Mills police officer Zachary Miller left the dog, a 10-year-old female black lab named Nyx, in his patrol car for over six hours July 9. A suburban Chicago police officer has been fired after the shooting death of a family dog that has outraged a small community. Witnesses say an officer from the Hometown Police Department shot and killed the dog in front of its owners. On Monday, Eyewitness News spoke with the family who lost their pet. Alexis Gamino loves animals, but is especially fond of her dog, Apollo, a 14-month old German shepherd-pit bull mix.

Video only. Many Muslims in fact love dogs and have their own. These two went through considerable effort including, apparently, stripping off a belt from their car engine, and also personal risk, to save this one. Which was not their dog!

Dennis Williams, above, did not hesitate to intervene to save a man being attacked by three pit bulls.  The event was reported on July 21, 2014, in Washington County, Wisconsin.
