Chinese security forces continue to surround the Kirti Tibetan monastery in Sichuan after local residents tried to stop them from arresting the 2,500 monks holed up inside. The standoff began earlier this week, when hundreds of people living in Sichuan's Aba region converged on the monastery determined to stop police from removing the monks for reeducation. The monks could soon face food shortages because they depend on offerings from locals, the Voice of America reports. PC Science: A newly released study is angering the transgender community for concluding that most young people who ‘come out’ as trans have at least one mental disorder. In the study, which was published at PLoS ONE and focused primarily on female teens, assistant professor of behavioral and social sciences at Brown University Lisa Littman found that 87 percent of young people were reported by their parents to have come out as trans after an increased amount of time spent on social media and the Internet and after “cluster outbreaks” of gender dysphoria among groups of friends.

Administrator’s have banned a 9/11 memorial at the Wisconsin college because Muslims might feel bad and get “singled out and/or harassed”. Young America’s Foundation which puts up the memorial each year said the administration cited bias reports.
