On May 4th 2015, Richard Chambliss was arrested by the Bald Knob Police Department (BKPD) for carrying a weapon, despite Arkansas Act 746, which allows the carrying of a weapon. After realizing the open carry charge would likely not hold, a madeup charge of disorderly conduct was added. The pistol range at the Ranch needed some trimming, so I stopped at Harbor Freight to pick up some inexpensive tools.  That is a bow saw on the counter.  The couple behind me were gracious and volunteered to take my picture. On August 4th Plymouth County Sheriff's department Sgt. Rick Singer stopped a man legally openly carrying a holstered pistol while walking.  Sgt. Michigan allows people with concealed carry permits to carry guns in schools, with a twist; the guns have to be openly carried in the school.  Michigan preemption law prevents local units of government from enacting a patchwork or local, contradictory laws, many of which violate basic Second Amendment rights.  MCL 123.1101(a) and MCL 123.1102 preempt local units of government from regulating firearms.
