On Tuesday, the Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled in favor of upholding House Bill 2684, which restricts the use of abortion-inducing drugs. The legislation requires that doctors administer abortion-inducing drugs only while following Food and Drug Administration protocols. The bill was signed in 2014 by Governor Mary Fallin, but last year, an abortion chain sued, claiming the FDA’s rules are outdated, and an Oklahoma judge overturned the bill, claiming it was unconstitutional. The state’s highest court disagreed, finding that House Bill 2684 does not violate constitutional provisions. However, the court also strangely took a dig at abortion safety laws, saying, “We...

The University of Oklahoma is kicking off the “Year of Diversity†by trying to shame students into admitting their “privilege.†The Gallogly College of Engineering website states the school will “celebrate diversity†through events that “enhance awareness of the issues faced by underrepresented members of our engineering community and promote GCoE’s inclusive climate that is welcoming of all differences.â€

SB1142 by Senator Dahm will be heard in the Senate Tourism and Wildlife Committee this week. SB1142 is an OK2A requested bill that mirrors HB2859, which would restrict Game Wardens from entering private property without a warrant or probable cause. We have already discussed some of the misinformation about the issue last week (click here to read more). Those opposed to the bill have tried to make the discussion about poaching. This bill will not keep Game Wardens from catching poachers. They've tried to play the class warfare card. Never mind the fact this will apply to far more middle...

Republican State Representative Randy Grau, at the request of the District Attorney's Council, has authored a bill that would greatly weaken Oklahoma's "Stand Your Ground" law. Currently, when a judge rules that the protections of the Stand Your Ground law apply in a case, the prosecutors cannot appeal that ruling. Rep. Grau's bill, HB2521, would allow prosecutors to appeal that ruling. After heated opposition from Rep. Kevin Calvey (the original author of the Stand Your Ground law) and OK2A-Action during last week's Judiciary Committee meeting, Rep. Grau laid the bill over in order to keep it from being voted down....

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has fallen behind Ted Cruz in the national GOP horserace, according to a brand-new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. In the poll, Cruz is the first choice of 28 percent of Republican primary voters, while Trump gets 26 percent. They're followed by Marco Rubio at 17 percent, John Kasich at 11 percent, Ben Carson at 10 percent and Jeb Bush at 4 percent.

Do you remember Chris Christie? You know, he of "abortion is self-defense" fame? Yeah, that guy. Left the GOP field after a whipping in New Hampshire about a week ago. Except not really. He's still lurking around in different form, proudly telling you he's a conservative but on issue after issue is proving over and over again that he's not, never was and never plans to be. The doppelganger's name is Donald Trump. And with Trump as with Christie, you can expect all the bluster and the ideological chaos to translate into a big, fat loss in the end. Sure,...

I saw my ex-husband in court last week. It was the first time I had seen him in longer than I could remember; the exact date lost in an 8-inch-thick legal file of court proceedings that is currently lying on my desk. In fact, I could count on one hand the number of times I have seen him since I started that file four years ago. Up until just a few days ago, I literally could not find my ex-husband. But before he disappeared four years ago, I was a married, stay-at-home mom of a 3-year-old daughter and 7-month-old son....

Full Title: Medal of Honor Winner Dakota Meyer Endorses Ted Cruz Ahead of Military-Focused South Carolina Primary Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Dakota Meyer endorsed Ted Cruz for president today, the Cruz campaign announced. The endorsement comes as Cruz seeks to beef up his military credentials in South Carolina - a state where 12 percent of the overall population is made up of veterans. The Texas senator gave a detailed speech this morning on the deck of the U.S.S. Yorktown in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., outlining plans to reduce bureaucracy and focus on the tip of the spear rather than the...

Donald Trump's supporters are relentless in their efforts to convince me (chairman) to rethink my Conservative Campaign Committee's endorsement of Ted Cruz. Trump supporters are angry at me and attempt to portray Cruz as the spawn of Satan. I have not responded in kind. I am not angry at my brother and sister patriots who support Trump, nor do I spend time trashing Trump. My focus is on explaining why Ted Cruz is the best hope for America...

As Matthew Continetti remarked on Twitter, whoever handles Team Cruz' campaign ads deserves a raise - assuming this comes directly from the campaign, as MSNBC reported today. While Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders argued over the record of Henry Kissinger and the foreign policy of the Nixon administration, the Cruz campaign launched a pitch-perfect shot at Hillary in this Office Space spoof. Rather than destroying a printer, however, "Hillary" and two aides destroy an e-mail server while the soundtrack raps out, "Damn, it feels good to be a Clinton": ...

Among the two candidates whose results look at all like those of an eventual GOP presidential nominee, polling suggests that Ted Cruz would do significantly better than Donald Trump in the general election. According to the Real Clear Politics average of recent polls, Cruz would fare 5 points better versus Hillary Clinton than Trump would. Polling has consistently shown Cruz to have an advantage over Trump in this regard: Fox News found that Cruz would fare 4 points better than Trump, beating Clinton by 7 points (50 to 43 percent) to Trump's 3 (47 to 44 percent). NBC News and...
