A convicted crack dealer who left prison early as part of the Obama administration’s mass release of federal inmates has been indicted by a grand jury for fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend and her two kids in Columbus, Ohio. The gory crime drew national attention because the children, ages 7 and 10, were murdered to eliminate them as witnesses in the brutal massacre of their 32-year-old mother. This week a grand jury in Franklin County returned a 10-count, death-penalty indictment against the ex-con, 35-year-old Wendell Callahan, for the triple murders. Callahan broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and stabbed the three victims,...

Obama's remarks were interrupted by a heckler protesting the detention and deportation of gay, lesbian and transgender immigrants. The president sharply rebuked the protester, saying it was "not respectful" to interrupt someone after being invited to their house.

It’s awkward enough when your toddler goes into meltdown mode in a crowded store or on an airplane; the dirty looks and side eye from strangers can be pretty unnerving. But what do you do when the crying fit happens in the White House in front of the President and First Lady of the United States?

During a joint press conference at the White House with the President of Afghanistan that was intended to demonstrate the close cooperation between the two nations, President Barack Obama accidentally called his counterpart by the wrong name. Obama met with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani earlier in the day to discuss U.S. troop withdrawals in the war-torn country. But at the press conference, Obama referred to him as “Karzai...

President Obama referred to the Bible during a speech on immigration Tuesday in Nashville. But there was a problem: Strictly speaking, one of the lines he cited appears nowhere in scripture. "The good book says, don't throw stones in glass houses," the president said. "Or," he added, "make sure we're looking at the log in our eye before we are pointing out the mote in other folks' eyes."

What’s in a name? For Michelle Obama, a whole lot of confusion. While campaigning in Des Moines, Iowa Friday for Democratic Senate candidate Bruce Braley, she referred to him multiple times as “Bailey” before she was corrected by someone shouting from the audience. The flub came despite a huge array of signs in the hall where she was speaking, all spelling Braley’s name correctly

Some are calling it the “latte salute.” When President Obama stepped off Marine One at the Wall Street landing zone in New York City, en route the United Nations, he saluted two Marines at the bottom of the stairs as he held a coffee cup in the same hand.

In a tweet Tuesday, President Obama’s official account attempted to draw attention to the plight of women workers, saying that it wasn’t 1963 anymore — when, as implied by an image and text, man first walked on the moon.

White House mistakenly identifies CIA chief in Afghanistan 571 Share to Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Add to PersonalPost Share via Email Print Article More By Greg Miller, Published: May 25 E-mail the writer The CIA’s top officer in Kabul was exposed Saturday by the White House when his name was inadvertently included on a list provided to news organizations of senior U.S. officials participating in President Obama’s surprise visit with U.S. troops. The White House recognized the mistake and quickly issued a revised list that did not include the individual, who had been identified on the initial...

U.S. President Barack Obama has caused confusion after claiming yesterday that Kosovo held a UN-assisted referendum for self-determination – misleading people over the true origins of the country. The U.S. President used the example to hit out against Russia's annexation of Crimea, but experts have noted that no such referendum took place, and implied that Obama's "incredible mistake" should elicit a retraction or correction from the White House. The error came in a speech delivered at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, and has been remarked upon to Breitbart London by regional experts from both the United Kingdom and indeed...

Speaking at the press conference after the EU-US summit yesterday the US President wrongly suggested that Georgia "is not currently on a path to NATO membership". In fact the country has been on the path to membership since 2008. At the North Atlantic Council in Bucharest that year the attending Heads of State and Government agreed the following statement: "NATO welcomes Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations for membership in NATO. We agreed today that they will become members of NATO." Former Georgian Ambassador to London Giorgi Badridze, told Breitbart London: "President Obama's remarks could hardly have come at a worse time –...

President Obama spoke about respect when talking about Aretha Franklin’s famed “RESPECT” song Thursday night at the White House, but he clearly failed to show her that same respect when he spelt the name of her hit song wrong. The White House hosted soul singers for a concert, including Aretha Franklin, who performed at the President’s 2009 Inauguration, Patti LaBelle, and Ariana Grande. President Obama told the crowd, “When Aretha first told us what R-S-P-E-C-T meant to her…” The crowd roared in laughter before allowing the President to finish his introduction. ou can't make things like this up, but this unnamed man apparently did. From AP via My Way News (12/11/2013): Mandela ceremony interpreter called a 'fake' JOHANNESBURG (AP) - A man who provided sign language interpretation on stage for Nelson Mandela's memorial service, attended by scores of heads of state, was a "fake," the national director of the Deaf Federation of South Africa said on Tuesday. Asked about the claim by The Associated Press, South Africa's government said it was preparing a statement. Three sign language experts said the man was not signing in South African or American sign languages....

Full title: Obama flubs during health care conference call with community organizers, claims 'more than 100 MILLION Americans' have enrolled President Barack Obama told a conference-call audience of progressive volunteers on Monday evening that 'more than 100 million Americans' – in a nation of less than 314 million – have successfully signed up for health insurance via the Affordable Care Act. And at a time when his signature legislative initiative's website has made the White House the butt of jokes, the website hosting the conference call was plagued with its own connection errors and other malfunctions. A weary-sounding Obama made...

Via Charles Cooke. Imagine it. Imagine a movement so selfish that it would sabotage the operations of a venture on which vast numbers of people depend simply to gain leverage for its own agenda. Then imagine that that movement grew in numbers to the point where it could elect its own bought-and-paid-for politicians to do its bidding. Who knows how much havoc it could wreak? When you think about it, Democrats are right: It really is a sort of terrorism. Am I awake? Youtube

Somebody should tell President Obama to forget the folksy metaphors. The prez sounds phony mouthing them, and since they are unfamiliar to him, he's apt to get them wrong. As was the case at today's townhall at Binghamton University, when Obama claimed that reducing spending on government programs would be "like eating your corn seed." You might have thought the man from Illinois would have known that the phrase is "eating your seed corn." Then again, they don't raise much maize in Hyde Park. For good measure, Obama assured the audience that "we don't have an urgent deficit crisis." Let...

SNIP SNIP The narrative here would seem to be that Obama is dumb and doesn’t even know basic geography. But no one really believes that and even Obama’s most ardent critics have never questioned his intelligence. Instead of the hapless dunce in the mold of liberals’ anti-Bush caricatures, conservatives see Obama as a conniving radical. Or an out-of-touch, former law professor, ivory tower elitist. Either way, not dumb. Ted Cruz said today that he modeled his campaign after Obama’s because it was so smart and effective. Meanwhile, “downplaying the threat of terrorism” is plainly not a gaffe — it’s an...
