What’s in a name? For Michelle Obama, a whole lot of confusion.
While campaigning in Des Moines, Iowa Friday for Democratic Senate candidate Bruce Braley, she referred to him multiple times as “Bailey” before she was corrected by someone shouting from the audience.
The flub came despite a huge array of signs in the hall where she was speaking, all spelling Braley’s name correctly

Northeast Iowa is Democrat country.
The point may not be to win over swing voters who've turned Obama off, but to energize the base which is still loyal.

I saw somewhere that she is considering a run for Illinois governor?
She said the Illinois Governor race was something she took personally when campaigning for Quinn. That doesn't necessarily mean she wants the job for herself. IMHO, she's more of a pawn or a prop who gets wheeled around to appearances like this, then wheeled back to the White House.
