Watching Fox News, I see Cruz has 28% and is the winner, but you'd never know it, because it's been "Rubio is the real winner" and now they've been playing the Rubio 3rd place speech for the last 20 minutes.

Ammon Bundy said Friday that he was not yet ready to accept Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward's offer of safe passage out of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Bundy said he and those with him at the refuge would 'leave as free men' at a later time. Bundy wanted to continue talking to Sheriff Ward on Friday, but Ward refused to communicate because Bundy and the group of people with him weren't ready to leave. The Harney County Committee of Safety formed last week to address the case of the Hammond's and other land owners wronged by the federal government...

People on twitter are saying that Hillary's hacked e-mails are out on the web now. This guy, Ben Hamner, appears to have them available on his site: https://twitter.com/benhamner I'm not computer savvy enough to attempt to download them. I hope it's the real deal!

I do not make very accurate crowd size estimates, but I figure about 1000, which is not bad for Florida's lib southeast coast. Good cheer had by all!

What is Donald Trump? Is he serious or is he some sort of show? Is he some asymmetrical weapon sent in by the Clinton's to disrupt the Republican Party? He is certainly doing a good deed by tearing down the Republican Establishment and its anointed candidate, Jeb Bush. His strong push on Amnesty has drawn fire from the GOPe and its affiliated media who have reacted to the backlash by sometimes backing off or in one case even joining him like Ann Coulter (a spy sent in by the GOPe???). Trump has sucked away the attention and opinion poll ratings...

Has anyone heard a peep from the White House expressing pride in our brave troops who prevented the train attack in France. Or was Obama rooting for the shooter?

Watching the debate tonight I noticed several thing that demonstrated great bias:1. Opened with hit #1, who will not pledge to support the nominee? They KNEW only Trump.2. Trump calling Rosie names on twitter and are you a misogynist?3. Even whn in Trump's sweet spot of immigration: PROVE Mexican govt is sending their criminals. All in the first 20mins.And never was a single question framed in a way that allowed him to shine.

It may be the Summer of Trump, but the publicity-hungry real estate magnate is not the only Republican presidential candidate relishing all his attention.

Donald J. Trump’s surge in the polls has been met with barely concealed delight by Jeb Bush and his supporters. Mr. Trump’s bombastic ways have simultaneously made it all but impossible for those vying to be the alternative to Mr. Bush to emerge, and easier for Mr. Bush, the former Florida governor, to position himself as the serious and thoughtful alternative to a candidate who has upended the early nominating process.

Like night she broke the 25 year old story about Trump's nasty divorce with his wife. Now tonight she's got on the little leftist weasel that works for the Daily Beast, basically siding with him and asking him how he felt to be humiliated and degraded by the lawyer of a presidential candidate. This witch should work for MSNBC. If I were Trump I wouldn't go anywhere near the Faux News debate if this raving lunatic is one of the moderators, which she is. By the way she's the only one starting off her program on Fox with the Donald...

Here is a post this evening put on an area blog by a U.S. military veteran: Just a few hours ago Chattanooga, TN was struck with tragedy as four United States Marines were shot and killed and one Law Enforcement Office was wounded in attacks on a Navy/Marine Corps recruiting office and Navy Reserve center. First and foremost my thoughts and prayers go out to the families those four Marines left behind. This incident IS an act of domestic terrorism, regardless of how Washington spins it, regardless of what nationality, color, creed, or otherwise the shooter was. This was a...

I've looked and been unable to find any news story that says whether the six cops who were involved in moving Mr. Grey were Black, White, Hispanic (or, I suppose, other). It's my understanding that five of the six have given statements to the investigators and one, presumably for Fifth Amendment reasons, hasn't. The race of the cops is obviously relevant but i haven't seen anything that says what race(s) they are. The wisdom and knowledge of all Freepers will be gratefully accepted.

The design of the National Review has changed greatly. Pictures are much bigger and almost fill the screen. I don't like it and prefer Free Republic's cleaner look. I go to political web sites to *read*. What do you think? If enough people grumble maybe they will go back.

he state's attorney report on the horrific murders at the Sandy Hook Elementary School by shooter Adam Lanza found no "conclusive motive" for his actions but did document unsettling facts about the 20-year-old killer, including computer files he kept on the rights of pedophiles, a movie about man/boy love, instant messages concerning "homosexual fantasies," numerous mass murder documents, and a computer game entitled "School Shooting."

So - has anyone in So California heard ANYTHING more about the hit and run driver who drove along Venice Beach? No names released, no age, no color of skin - no nothing. Why does that make me think it was a jihadi end-of-Ramadan 'celebration of death.'???

It’s been almost five months since across-the-board federal spending cuts known as sequestration began kicking in. And since that time, Americans remain largely unsure about the impact of the cuts. More than half of Americans (54 percent) don’t know enough to say whether sequestration was a good thing or a bad thing for the country, according to a new Gallup poll. Americans are even more uncertain about the impact on their own lives. Fifty-nine percent say they don’t know whether it was a good or bad thing for them personally. Those numbers are in line with where they were in...

The following dreck appeared in the opinion section of the July 2nd, 2013 edition of The Miami Herald : *** "With the Supreme Court’s historic rulings on DOMA and Proposition 8, as well as the generational shift on civil marriage equality, it is clear that same-sex marriage will one day be a reality in Florida and the rest of the nation. It’s just a question of time. Until then, religious justifications and definitions of marriage will continue to be used in opposition to civil same-sex marriage. Less than 50 years ago, similar religious and moral justifications for prohibiting civil interracial...
