A record 51% of NFL team employees identify as people of color and/or women, the league revealed Thursday in advance of its quarterly owners meeting next week. The accounting includes people who work in football operations and business operations, as well as on coaching staffs and in executive roles. A Native American group is threatening to go on the warpath if the NFL’s Washington football team doesn’t readopt its iconic “Redskins” name and punt the “Commanders” moniker it assumed in 2020 in response to coercion from the cancel-culture crowd. The local hometown team the Jaguars pulled off an upset today in the closing seconds versus the Baltimore Ravens, the game was delayed about 30 minutes due to heavy rain and lightening. BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Bills rookie punter Matt Araiza and two others have been accused of gang raping a 17-year-old girl last year in a lawsuit filed in San Diego County Superior Court on Thursday. The lawsuit, obtained by ESPN, involves allegations against Araiza and two of his former San Diego State teammates. The other men named in the complaint are Zavier Leonard, a redshirt freshman with the Aztecs, and Nowlin Ewaliko, who was a freshman last season but is no longer on the listed roster.
