An NYPD cop is stuck in India after being arrested for accidentally bringing three bullets into the country, officials said Friday. Less than 24 hours after the News 2 Investigative Unit aired a story about a fireman getting handcuffed during a 911 call, the State Fire Marshal's Office launched an investigation into the incident. (WPRI) – A Fall River man has been charged with violating the Massachusetts wiretapping statute for recording a police officer talking on his cell phone and cursing while working a street detail. George Thompson, 51, of Fall River, faces one count each of unlawful wiretap and resisting arrest stemming from the Jan. 6 incident.

Louisiana state police are investigating the death Victor White, III, 22, who allegedly shot and killed himself while handcuffed in the back of a patrol car, reports The Advocate. White was allegedly involved in an altercation and when deputies responded to the call they claim to have found illegal drugs on him which lead to his arrest. The cop detained Filippidas and his family for nearly two hours while searching the family’s vehicle for the gun Filippidas legally owns. The gun was in a safe back in Florida. No ticket was issued.

OCEANSIDE — A county probation officer shot and killed a dog that lunged at her in an aggressive manner Wednesday night in the backyard of an Oceanside house, police said. SNIP The probation officer went into the backyard, where the pit bull-mix came after her, the lieutenant said. She shot the dog to protect herself, he said.

In pursuit of a dangerous black male killer, Los Angeles Police Department officers mistook two Latina woman for the suspect and fired one hundred shots. Then, Torrance Officer Brian McGee thought he saw the suspect’s vehicle and rammed into it at full speed, nearly killing the innocent driver, David Perdue, a white man. McGee also fired three shots at Perdue. But L.A. County District Attorney Jackie Lacey has decided not to press charges against McGee, since his error was “a reasonable mistake.”
