Less than 24 hours after the News 2 Investigative Unit aired a story about a fireman getting handcuffed during a 911 call, the State Fire Marshal's Office launched an investigation into the incident. Louisiana state police are investigating the death Victor White, III, 22, who allegedly shot and killed himself while handcuffed in the back of a patrol car, reports The Advocate. Recently we posted a story about John Filippidas, the concealed carry permit holder from Florida who was stopped on I-95 by a Maryland Transportation Authority cop. OCEANSIDE — A county probation officer shot and killed a dog that lunged at her in an aggressive manner Wednesday night in the backyard of an Oceanside house, police said. In pursuit of a dangerous black male killer, Los Angeles Police Department officers mistook two Latina woman for the suspect and fired one hundred shots. Then, Torrance Officer Brian McGee thought he saw the suspect’s vehicle and rammed into it at full speed, nearly killing the innocent driver, David Perdue, a white man. McGee also fired three shots at Perdue. But L.A. County District Attorney Jackie Lacey has decided not to press charges against McGee, since his error was “a reasonable mistake.”
