The proliferation of federal agencies with armed agents is one of the most worrisome aspects of the growth in government. Just last summer the EPA carried out an armed raid on a mine in Alaska to enforce the Clean Water Act a bit of government intimidation that residents say was totally unnecessary:

Apparently the only government department without a military force at its disposal is the military. Mark Stein
When they start worrying about whether they will go home at night is when they will rethink their protocols.
Umm, let me guess. They love the 2nd Amendment.
Mares Against Illegal Ponds? Sponsored by nannie bloomers?
“When the people fear the government you have tyranny, when the government fears the people you have liberty”......Jefferson (I think)
A really stupid question, Rick.
When push comes to shove (a day I pray will never happen) what will these “armed agents” do when ordered to shoot their fellow Americans?
Weapons for me but not for thee. :>}
Since they work for the gov’t, they’ll have to be considered to be “on the other side” when the shove comes.
It seems those in these agencies understand this. I hope everyone else does as well.
If you resist and refuse to fill in your illegal pond, I think they’ve already been authorized to 007 your non-compliant butt. They’ll PO the wrong guy before too long and we’ll end up with a Ruby Ridge over a pond. Real friggin’ nice huh?
They have a barrel full of fish to shoot?
Oh, a circular ambush?
Quick answer: They don’t.
Is there really even a question about whether they’ll follow orders like that?
All you have to do is label the fellow America as a anti-govt, drug dealer, weapons dealer, or spotted owl hater and they’ll go to town.
Global warming theology and guns. Might makes right.
To rescue my and Al's ass... that's why!
Gadzooks! You just cannot make this stuff up... can you?
When they come after me, they better bring my duly elected County Sheriff with them...
Because otherwise they are nothing more than armed criminal trespassers.
Sadly, too many sheriffs don’t believe they are the #1 law enforcement officers in the county. Some place have even taken that authority away from them so they end up subservient to the feds.
Too bad not all sheriffs are as dedicated to protecting freedom as the one featured in Fox’s special, “Enemies of the State,” in which a Nevada sheriff told the BLM oppressors that their SWAT team would be met with his SWAT team. The BLM bullies were threatening to steal a rancher’s herd of cattle, the second time such a blatant act of government theft had occurred.
If you missed this special, you really should watch for it to be rebroadcasted, or find it on line. It will make you angry and afraid and hopefully, determined.
Mark Steyn also felt military bases were like other 'gun free' zones - schools but with uniforms...
Seems the new status symbol of government agencies is having their own little swat teams. It's so 'north korean'...so... thuggy.
