  • "OK, Set the Crosses on Fire It's Time for the Birth Control Lecture" Margaret Sanger and the KKK

    12/19/2013 12:47:29 PM PST · by Diago · 13 replies
The Wikipedia entry on Margaret Sanger crack us up.  It states, in pertinent part, the following: In 1926, Sanger gave a lecture on birth control to the women's auxiliary of the Ku Klux Klan in Silver Lake, New Jersey.[37] ... Sanger's talk was well received by the group, and as a result, "a dozen invitations to similar groups were proffered."[37]The first noteworthy thing is that nowhere in the Margaret Sanger autobiography does Sanger state that she spoke to the Ku Klux Klan about "birth control."  The "birth control" line has just been thrown in to her Wikipedia entry by Planned Parenthood types...

A Florida high school that for 54 years has borne the name of a leader of the Ku Klux Klan is to be renamed, officials said. The Nathan Bedford Forrest High School in Jacksonville, Fla., where more than half the students are black, will change its name from that of the man who allegedly was the Ku Klux Klan's first grand wizard. A new name will be proposed in January. "We recognize that we cannot and are not seeking to erase history," said Constance Hall, a board member for the Duval County school, which was founded 54 years ago. "For...

A public university sent an email to alumni highlighting the esteemed research of one of its professors — research that notes many similarities between the old Ku Klux Klan and its modern-day equivalent, the tea party. The University of Washington’s email to alumni asked the question four separate times: “Is The Tea Party like the Ku Klux Klan?” Christopher Parker, a UW political science professor, argues in a new book that there are major similarities. The book is titled “Change They Can’t Believe In: The Tea Party and Reactionary Politics in Contemporary America.” “In this commentary from Professor Christopher Parker...

“The Birth of a Nation,” This appalling movie premiered in 1915. It was more than blatantly racist. It was written and produced with the intent of glorifying The Ku Klux Klan, trying to make them appear heroic. This revisionist propaganda became a recruiting film for The KKK. Its membership grew. This film may be the most racist film ever made in America. It was wrong to ever allow it to be shown. The animosity it caused and the harm it did… may never fully be known. Later, this slanted style of journalism also worked very well in Europe. Every clan,...

One of the most prominent white separatists in the country is distancing himself from a white supremacist who faces terrorizing charges for allegedly threatening people in a North Dakota town he’s trying to turn into an Aryan enclave. Tom Metzger, a former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan and founder of the White Aryan Resistance, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he has instructed his attorney to return property in Leith that Craig Cobb has deeded to him. … Cobb, 62, and his friend, 29-year-old Kynan Dutton, are accused of terrorizing people in Leith with guns over the...

Keshia Thomas, a Black woman who protected a White man at a Ku Klux Klan rally back in 1996, recently recalled her act, according to BBC News. “I knew what it was like to be hurt,” Thomas said. “The many times that, that happened, I wish someone would have stood up for me.” Thomas was 18 years old, when Klansmen decided to hold a rally in Ann Arbor, Mich., her hometown. Known for being a heavily liberal and multiracial area, hundreds of residents gathered in a show of force against the group. Though officers protected the White supremacists with riot...

The Ku Klux Klan was formed as a social club by a group of Confederate Army veterans in Pulaski, Tennessee in the winter of 1865-66. The group adopted the name Ku Klux Klan from the Greek word "kyklos," meaning circle, and the English word clan. In the summer of 1867, the Klan became the "Invisible Empire of the South" at a convention in Nashville, Tennessee attended by delegates from former Confederate states. The group was presided over General Nathan Bedford Forrest, who is believed to have been the first Grand Wizard -- the title for the head of the organization.

Political Correctness: As liberals obsess over the name of a football team, they ignore hate speech spewing from their own ranks over Americans' exercise of constitutional rights. 'If I were the owner of the team, and I knew that there was a name of my team — even if it had a storied history — that was offending a sizeable group of people, I'd think about changing it," President Obama said in an Associated Press interview on the subject of the Washington Redskins. But if there is anything that should offend everyone, it should be the image of a burning...

If Alfalfa had an evil twin brother it would have to be that big Little Rascal Alan Grayson. Like any good liberal he never lets facts get in the way of an opportunity to call conservatives racist. He sent an email with that cute little KKK image below to supporters...and I took the liberty of correcting it.It reminds me of the idiotic joke Bill Maher used to tell about the 2000 RNC that the last time the GOP had so many blacks on stage they were selling them...it got a huge laugh by the room full of libnorant people. Obviously it...

Please excuse any mistakes but I'm new. I'm a member of a bicycling forum and they hate me for being a Conservative and a Tea Party supporter. The forum has a political section. Last night there was a thread comparing the Tea Party to the KKK. I normally keep my mouth shut but the Tea Party hatred there was more than the norm. I reminded them that the Democrats were behind the founding of the KKK and provided links. One link was even from the Black Republican website. They called the KKK the terrorist arm of the Democrat party. Of...

It also turns out that the September, 1926 game between the Hebrews and the Klan wasn't the only time Abe Povich played against an anti-Semitic group. Larry Povich, one of Abe's sons, reports that he was often told about a game against a group of racists that the Hebrews actually won. ..... "They felt that they were in trouble because he said [the racists] had picked up their bats at, what they thought was, an inappropriate time. And they were coming after them," Larry said. Turns out the white supremacists were sore losers. "It's very vivid in my mind in...

Residents of a quiet, peaceful section of Marshall Terrace, a Danville neighborhood near West Main Street, woke Thursday morning to an unwelcome surprise in their front lawns. Small, rolled up flyers had been placed in front of their houses, sporting racial and other discriminatory slurs. While no one knows for sure who passed out the material, the handouts did sport the signature of the Loyal White Knights, a branch of the Ku Klux Klan. At least two different flyers have been identified so far. One ad called for America to “wake up,” and asked readers who have had enough of...

A secret meeting between a representative of the Wyoming chapter of the NAACP and a Ku Klux Klan organizer ended with the Klan organizer paying $50 to join the civil rights organization, participants said. Saturday's meeting between Jimmy Simmons, president of the Casper NAACP, and John Abarr, a KKK organizer from Great Falls, Mont., took place at a hotel in Casper, Wyo., under tight security, the Casper Star-Tribune reported. This is the untold story of the Union's "hard war" against the people of the Confederacy. Styled the "Black Flag" campaign, it was agreed to by Lincoln in a council with his generals in 1864. Cisco reveals the shelling and burning of cities, systematic destruction of entire districts, mass arrests, forced expulsions, wholesale plundering of personal property, and even murder of civilians. Carefully researched largely from primary sources, this examination also gives full attention to the suffering of Black victims of Federal brutality.

Lincoln's "actions were unconstitutional and he knew it," writes Napolitano, for "the rights of the states to secede from the Union . . . [are] clearly implicit in the Constitution, since it was the states that ratified the Constitution . . ." Lincoln's view "was a far departure from the approach of Thomas Jefferson, who recognized states' rights above those of the Union." Judge Napolitano also reminds his readers that the issue of using force to keep a state in the union was in fact debated -- and rejected -- at the Constitutional Convention as part of the "Virginia Plan."

Last week, the Kentucky businessman announced he would challenge Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell in next year’s Republican Senate primary. This will be Bevin’s first entry into the political rodeo. But the longtime Republican has often been a frustrated party member. “I have a Peroutka for President T-shirt from 2004 in my drawer,” Bevin tells National Review Online in an interview at his Louisville home. He’s referring to Constitution-party candidate Michael Peroutka, for whom he cast his ballot in the general election rather than George W. Bush. “In ’04, I was just so fed up with the choices that we...

Today’s term is psycho-political projection |siko'p?'litiko'pr?'jekSH?n|.  This contraction of words labels the political application of the word projection in the Oxford Dictionary of Sociology, “…in a psychoanalytic context, it describes the unconscious process in which the individual attributes to others his or her own emotions and impulses.  Sigmund Freud regarded it as a common defence mechanism, used by the ego to control unacceptable feelings, thereby helping to reduce anxiety.” This is the syndrome that I hereby assign to those of the LEFT who so freely launch accusations for which they themselves harbor a secret sense of guilt.  The pattern for...
