There was a loud and very colorful KKK rally and counter-protest in Charlotte, North Carolina over the weekend. Counter-protesters brought squeaky toys, whistles, noise-makers, and red noses... but it was no ordinary clown circus. Louisiana woman roils race relations with fake KKK burn story SHREVEPORT, La. A Louisiana woman apparently staged a racist attack in which she told police three men set her alight and scrawled KKK on her car. "The wounds were self-inflicted," Kyle Hanrahan, a spokesman for the FBI's Louisiana bureau said. Sharmeka Moffitt, 20, was seriously burned in the incident and remains in critical condition. There was a time in America when a black man was scandalously counted as three-fifths of a man for congressional apportionment. Last Friday was dress-down day at Charles Carroll High School in Port Richmond — a day for students to leave their uniforms at home and wear whatever they liked. One young woman chose to wear a shirt showing her support for Gov. Mitt Romney’s presidential candidacy. A Philadelphia high school teacher is under investigation after she reportedly ordered a student to take off a t-shirt supporting Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign and compared the shirt to a Ku Klux Klan sheet.
