“NIGHTLINE” TAKES A RARE LOOK INSIDE THE NEW KKK
ABC ^ | Oct 25, 2012 | Alyssa Bernstein

Posted on 10/26/2012 3:50:55 AM PDT by matt1234

A special edition of “Nightline” chronicles a resurgent Ku Klux Klan, with rare access inside Klan groups in both Mississippi and Virginia. Over four months, the “Nightline” team chronicled the reinvigorated white supremacist group, witnessed secretive cross burnings rituals and rallies, met the people beneath the trademark white hoods, and talked to them about their rituals and message of hate. Cynthia McFadden’s exclusive report airs on “NIGHTLINE” on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26 (11:35 pm ET) on the ABC Television Network. A portion of McFadden’s report will also air on “WORLD NEWS” (6:30 pm ET)

Old KKK was the vote suppressing terrorist arm of the Dem Party. The new KKK is a fringe group of cranks. But I’m sure. ABC will find a way to make it about the GOP.

Wow. The KKK is resurgent, JUST IN TIME for the election!

How convenient!

Did they mention yet that most of the new KKK members are Tea Party Members as well?

Same with the new Nazi Party...Tea Partiers too, donchaknow.

I seem to recall a program called “Nightline.” As I recall, every other night they did a story on the KKK. The other nights, it was a panel discussion on diversity training at Vassar.

Yep. Setting up the pitch for the ‘Race Card’ and ‘Guilt Trip’ narrative just as expected about this many days out from Election Day. Get ready for riots the bigger the Romney victory. MSM will egg it on 24/7 but it will be too late.

“I hear the KKK is half staffed by undercover FBI.”

What the feds do these days is give deals to white collar criminals that they infiltrate organizations and report back. This is for general surveillance. It’s probably illegal to do this without a warrant but the feds think since they aren’t doing the undercover surveillance themselves it’s legal.

Liberals are as predictable as the rising sun. COULD just be coincidence it comes out right now.

As for the Jacobins, isn’t that the truth though? To me, it is one of the black marks against Jefferson, that he supported what was going on even though lots of people tried to warn him.

We can probably guess ahead at what the next stories will be. I’m sure the last story will be about the tea party. Nightline will use riot footage from around the world and pass it off as tea partiers burning down black neighborhoods.

Of course.

Look no further than who ABC’s “expert” is: Mark Potok from the Southern Poverty Law Center. If Potok had his way, he would get the Federal Government to label the GOP as a hate group.

Exactly my thoughts. And it will seep into the AP, Gannet, major publishers just in time for the election. Honestly, if there ARE violent reactions to the election, the media should be held responsible for inflaming them.

Hey, Shyteline! You want to see hate? Try attending a poofter rally. Or walk a union picket line. Hang out with the Black Panthers for an afternoon. Or just take a walk through Philadelphia or East St Louis or Detroit or Bed-Sty or ...

Spare me the phony outrage. You’re only looking to justify your OWN hate.

"Doesn’t nambla have more members than the klan? Not really a primetime special to me."

A few years ago, I got into an argument with a liberal moonbat on a political forum. She claimed that the KKK and other white supremacist groups were a far greater threat to the US than Muslim terrorists (this was AFTER 9-11). I presented her with statistics of the thousands of Americans killed by Muslims since the 1970s, and the lunatic refused to budge----she maintained the KKK had killed more people.

Nightline is now the highest rated late night show. So what is ABC doing? Moving it to after Kimmel’s weak show.

Some years back, the Klan put pamphlets on cars and mailboxes in Putnam County, Missouri, announcing an organizational drive.
Five men showed up at the first meeting. Three off duty sheriffs deputies and two guys from the FBI.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not defending the KKK. But this is like all the race-baiting selective news. Black on white violence is rarely reported and is always hushed up. Any white on black violence (even if it’s fake, like the Louisiana woman who set herself on fire) leads as long as it is useful in stirring up racial divisiveness.

Maybe they could investigate not only the New Black Panthers, but the NAACP, the CBC, BET, La Raza, and many, many other organizations that promote one race at the expense of the rest.

I live in the Deep, Deep, South, so why haven't I heard anything about any “new Klan”? They must be so small or so underground that they are completely off the radar.

On another note, it has been alleged that the FBI was complicit in much of the violence and killing during the civil rights struggle.

The Informant:
The FBI, the Ku Klux Klan, and the Murder of Viola Liuzzo (Google eBook)

Gary May
1 Review

Yale University Press, May 11, 2005 - 448 pages

In The Informant, historian Gary May reveals the untold story of the murder of civil rights worker Viola Liuzzo, shot to death by members of the violent Birmingham Ku Klux Klan at the end of Martin Luther King’s historic Voting Rights March in 1965. The case drew national attention and was solved almost instantly, because one of the Klansman present during the shooting was Gary Thomas Rowe, an undercover FBI informant. At the time, Rowe’s information and subsequent testimony were heralded as a triumph of law enforcement. But as Gary May reveals in this provocative and powerful book, Rowe’s history of collaboration with both the Klan and the FBI was far more complex.Based on previously unexamined FBI and Justice Department Records, The Informant demonstrates that in their ongoing efforts to protect Rowe’s cover, the FBI knowingly became an accessory to some of the most grotesque crimes of the Civil Rights era—including a vicious attack on the Freedom Riders and perhaps even the bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church.A tale of a renegade informant and an intelligence system ill-prepared to deal with threats from within, The Informant offers a dramatic and cautionary tale about what can happen when secret police power goes unchecked.
