ONE day after Omar Mateen opened fire inside a gay nightclub in Orlando, killing 49 people and injuring 53 others, President Barack Obama has said it appears that the shooter was inspired by various extremist information that was being distributed on the internet.Speaking from the White House, Obama also said there was no clear evidence that the gunman, Omar Mateen, was directed through someone else and “no direct evidence that he was part of a larger plot”. As America reels from the aftermath of the massacre in Florida, the identities of the shooter’s victims are being revealed.

Witnesses are reporting gunfire and explosions in the Paris suburb commune of Magnanville. French special police have surrounded a house where a man is holding hostages. The attacker stabbed the home owner, a police officer who was reportedly his neighbor.

Two assailants armed with pistols and cleavers attacked Jogeswar Roy, 45, the head priest of Sri Sri Sant Gourio Math, at his home in the temple on Sunday morning, officials said. CBS News is reporting that the FBI is investigating the incident as a lone wolf terror attack. Suspect is a Somali, Mohamed Barry: CBS News has identified the suspect as Mohamed Barry, however neither 10TV nor Columbus Police have confirmed the suspect’s name.
