Deaths per day will peak out about 2047 by early February. Until then its up and up. This is Omicron: more contagious by a lot, less deadly by about 20%. The net result is doubling death per day.

What if we compared the mortality rate of influenza and coronavirus using only confirmed cases (no estimates)? People seem to like to use a ~0.1% mortality rate for seasonal flu when comparing it to coronavirus. This 0.1% figures includes all of the estimated influenza cases in the US, using modeling, which dramatically lowers the mortality rate. The same modeling/estimating is never applied to coronavirus. What happens when we only use confirmed cases for each and eliminate the models and estimates for total cases? Per the CDC the number of CONFIRMED seasonal flu cases this year in the US is 222,552...

We libertarians love to rail about government, and rightly so. But, tyrannical government can’t survive if people refuse to comply with its illegitimate demands. Ultimately, the actions of government reflect the willingness of the people it oppresses to comply with its dictates. Ultimately, we have no one to blame but ourselves if we continue to live in tyranny. TAMPA — It’s an understatement to say Republicans are worried about losing the Senate race in Missouri. Amid the Todd Akin controversy, they’re terrified by the prospect of losing a state they previously thought they could win — and thus falling a single seat short of winning control of the Senate. Now, many of them view Mike Huckabee as the key player in the Akin situation. The former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate has supported Akin all along and has prominently refused to join in the Republican chorus — which includes virtually every office holder, former office holder, political operatives...

What I find very alarming is our ``conservative`` radio talk show hosts are constantly referring to Herman Cain as a ``conservative``, as if there is an intentional motive by these hosts to convince listeners that Herman Cain is a ``conservative``, when in fact Herman`s 9-9-9 plan is comparable to government enforced central planning on a federal level. And let us not forget how that central planning thing worked out for the ``Union of Soviet Socialist Republics``! QUESTION: Why would Mark Levin and other “conservative” talk show hosts constantly call Herman Cain a “conservative” when the evidence of Herman’s political “conservatism”...

If you were a state governor who was eight months pregnant--and remember, Sarah Palin already knew hers was a high-risk pregnancy because of her age (44) and, according to her book, her baby having been diagnosed via amniocentesis as having Down syndrome--and you were scheduled to fly some 4,000 miles from home to give a speech at a conference, would you (a) give your speech from home via teleconferencing, using modern real-time technology, and explain to your hosts that the high-risk nature and advanced stage of your pregnancy made you reluctant to fly; or, alternatively, send the deputy governor to give your speech or (b) dismiss any staff or security slated to fly with you and insist on flying 4,000 miles to the conference yourself?</p>
