Mike Huckabee isn’t happy with President Obama‘s decision to appoint an openly gay man as the next Secretary of the Army. Eric Fanning, the current acting Under Secretary of Army, was selected by Obama this week, which would make him the first openly gay man to lead any branch of the U.S. military. And while The Washington Post notes his sexuality isn’t really a big deal to the Army or to even some Republicans in Congress, leave it to Huckabee to crank up the outrage-ometer with this statement today: It’s clear President Obama is more interested in appeasing America’s homosexuals...

Just 42 years ago, homosexuality was considered a diagnosable mental illness. In an ironic twist, it is now those who wantonly fear gay people that are being labeled as mentally ill. According to findings recently published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, if you harbor homophobic views it’s likely you may also endorse some of the following dysfunctions: misogynism, psychoticism, uber-religiosity, immature coping mechanisms, [discomfort] with close relationships, and above average levels of anger, aggression, hostility, and hyper-masculinity.

President Obama will apparently test just how far Pope Francis’ notorious tolerance will go by inviting a rogue’s gallery of people opposed to Catholic teaching to greet the pontiff at the White House during his visit next week. In a stunning show of political indecorum, Obama has invited a series of individuals who publicly flout Catholic teaching, including a pro-abortion religious sister, a transgender woman and the first openly gay Episcopal bishop, along with at least two Catholic gay activists.

They are not being issued under the authority of the Rowan County clerk's office. They are not worth the paper that they are written on," said attorney Mat Staver after meeting with Davis in the Carter County jail in Grayson. Rowan County Attorney Cecil Watkins previously dismissed that argument, saying deputy clerks can issue valid marriage licenses without their boss's approval.

Denver International Airport authorities have released internal videotape of a former Transportation Security Administration screener at DIA allegedly groping male passengers last February. CBS4 obtained the redacted videotape Tuesday after filing a Colorado Open Records Act request for the tape. Authorities had refused to release the tape for months citing an ongoing criminal investigation. But in July the Denver district attorney said there would be no criminal charges in the case clearing the way for the release of the videotape. Although no criminal charges were filed, TSA fired screener Ty Spicha and his coworker Yasmeen Shafi after the alleged groping...

DES MOINES — Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and actress Ellen Page, of “Juno” fame, got into a testy and free-wheeling discussion Friday over gay rights here at the Iowa State Fair. “I’m happy to answer your question but not to have a back-and-forth debate,” Cruz told Page, as she pressed him about discrimination against LGBT citizens, approaching him as he flipped pork chops over an open grill. But the two then proceeded to have a spirited exchange over gay rights and whether private businesses — florist companies, for example —can refuse to cater gay weddings in the name of their...

BATESVILLE, IN (FOX19) - The mayor of this southeastern Indiana town posted $550 bond Wednesday morning following his arrest on a prostitution charge. Batesville City Mayor Richard Fledderman, 60, who is married, faces one count of patronizing a prostitute. Police say he paid another man, Randy Wigle-Stevens, for sex acts in June. Wigle-Stevens, 42, of Indianapolis, failed to disclose he had HIV and threatened to go public with the encounter unless Fledderman paid him additional money, according to Indiana State Police. Wigle-Stevens was charged with failure to disclose dangerous communicable disease status, prostitution and intimidation. He faces a Ripley Superior...

“Gay teens have higher pregnancy rates than their straight peers.†That’s the headline in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, reporting on findings by a non-profit focused on teenage sexual health. How does that work, you ask?In this context, “gay†is a catchall term encompassing the entire LGBTQ community. Oh yeah. We just keep tacking new letters on there. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and now the marvelously nebulous category of “questioning†all share the same treatment in these findings. So a girl who identifies as bixsexual, and gets pregnant by a boy, affects the numbers we’re looking at.Naturally, gay activists have...

The BSA decided that it profited the organization to lose its soul so it could gain the world. Its punishment will be, I suspect, that it will end up without either. There has been much written about the Boy Scouts of America’s recent acceptance of openly homosexual scout masters. The organization has been raked over the coals by the right and accused of offering only a half-measure by the left. But few appreciate what the BSA has actually done — and the BSA has no idea what it has done to itself. Scouting has never been just about tying knots...

Is it me or is the Catholic Church beginning to look more and more like the ruling Uniparty in Washington? The Holy Father’s approval ratings are falling like a stone in a lake and not without good cause. If approval numbers for Francis were plummeting because he was constantly preaching warnings about the penalty for sinning, I would cheer him and say “Good riddance” to those who are upset and maybe want to move to another church because of such warnings. But this is not the case. We are getting a non-stop dose of “Liberation Theology” that provides solutions to...

Disturbing facts continue to emerge surrounding the alleged murder of a four year-old child who reportedly died at the hands of an 11 year-old child. The Daily Mail reports on the disturbing past: An 11-year-old boy who allegedly strangled a four-year-old boy had a history of disturbing behavior including choking another child and carrying around dead farm animals. The older boy’s violent outbursts are detailed in an arrest warrant which shows a horrific catalog of abuse meted out by him to other kids. His latest alleged victim, four-year-old Braydan Anthony Trahern, died at 12:40pm Tuesday at Shands Hospital in Gainesville,...

Fresh off the heels of the Boy Scouts of America’s decision Monday to end its ban on gay adult leaders, Oklahomans for Equality has announced its intention to form a local Cub Scout pack. Operating out of the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center, 621 E. Fourth St., the organization will charter the troop through Tulsa’s Boy Scouts chapter, the Indian Nations Council. The interest is there — both from youth participants and adults taking part in its leadership — and now it’s just a matter of getting all the paperwork in order and approval from the local council, said Andrew...

Quelle surprise. The Boy Scouts of America has faced pressure for decades to end its national policy barring gay men as Scout leaders, finding itself barred from schools and other public venues for its stand even as churches and other civic organizations supported them. Yesterday, BSA’s national office changed its policy to end hiring discrimination within the organization and remove its bar on openly gay volunteer Scout leaders, while allowing church-sponsored troops to make their own leadership choices. Will that end the controversy? Don’t bet on it: The Boy Scouts of America, facing litigation, shrinking membership and sweeping acceptance...

Over the last 30 years, HIV/AIDS has killed hundreds of thousands of people in America. Despite tremendous advances in medicine that allow victims of HIV/AIDS to live long, healthy lives, it is still a devastating disease that was diagnosed in nearly 14,000 people who died in 2012, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). And most of those men were what the CDC calls “men who have sex with men,†or MSM (a specific CDC label). In fact, MSM “accounted for 78% of new HIV infections among males and 63% of all new infections†in 2010, despite making up,...

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has now spent over $3.5 million to determine why the majority of lesbians are obese. The project, now entering its fifth year, received another grant worth $658,485 this summer. The total funding for the research is now $3,531,925. Funding has more than doubled since the study was first revealed in 2013.Since, the study that is examining why three-quarters of lesbians are obese, but gay men are not, has survived sequester cuts, and continues to produce results such as the discovery that gay men have a “greater desire for toned muscles” than straight men.Another scientific paper...

A judge on Friday allowed two Glastonbury men, accused two years ago of sexually assaulting two of their nine adopted boys, to withdraw their no-contest pleas and take their cases to trial. The unusual action came during what was to be a sentencing hearing for George Harasz and Douglas Wirth, who entered pleas in January to one felony count each of risk of injury to a minor. They agreed to suspended prison sentences. The only issue for Friday’s hearing was to be whether each would be required to register as sex offenders...

1) President Obama: ‘We Will Never Be at War With Islam’ “On Monday afternoon, President Obama spoke at the Pentagon about the Islamic State, or ISIS, a terrorist organization in Syria and Iraq. To stem the flow of foreign fighters into Syria and out of it, Obama said ‘all nations will need to do more, and we are starting to see some progress.’ In March, United States Southern Command General John F. Kelly warned of ISIS fighters entering the U.S. from the Caribbean and other South American nations. Since then, the U.S. has vowed to share more intelligence to prevent...

We should never forget that it was the Democrat party that gave America this perversion called gay marriage. For about forty years the Democrats have invited the gays into the Democrats' "Rainbow Coalition". The Democrats invited them into the party and gave them a seat at the decision making table. Gays became part of the Democrat coalition. Each group in the coalition gets what it wants and the Democrats have supported the gay agenda for decades. Back in the Clinton administration, Bill Clinton tried to get homosexuals in the military. He was not able to get everything that he wanted...

Homosexuals are forcing “acceptance” of their perverse lifestyle on the American people thanks to last week’s Supreme Court decision. 1) Justice Kagan in 2009: ‘There Is No Federal Constitutional Right to Same-Sex Marriage’ Over at the blog Legal Insurrection, law professor William Jacobson reminds us of this answer Elena Kagan gave to Senator John Cornyn in her confirmation hearings to be Solicitor General in 2009: Question: “As Solicitor General, you would be charged with defending the Defense of Marriage Act. That law, as you may know, was enacted by overwhelming majorities of both houses of Congress (85-14 in the Senate...
