The BSA decided that it profited the organization to lose its soul so it could gain the world. Its punishment will be, I suspect, that it will end up without either.
There has been much written about the Boy Scouts of America’s recent acceptance of openly homosexual scout masters. The organization has been raked over the coals by the right and accused of offering only a half-measure by the left. But few appreciate what the BSA has actually done — and the BSA has no idea what it has done to itself.
Scouting has never been just about tying knots and learning survival skills, but about instilling virtue and building character. And part of having character means standing up for what you believe is right.
Insofar as this goes, no boy will find the “reformed” BSA organization a good role model.

Traditional American values such as “In God We Trust,” and the Boy Scout Motto:
“On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight,” need to be modified to represent the New American Value System. How about this...

The entire reason why national made this decision is to pay for national. It is to pay for the corporate scouting, as the gay mafia had cut off too many lucrative sources of income. And honestly, they had little choice. Once they started giving themselves nice benefits packages and ‘living’ wages, it was no longer able to be supported by troop level dues, and needed that massive cash infusion from corporate donors.
I hope that every person who enjoys benefits from the national organization thinks about the children they sold out to reap the harvest of corporate donations that may (or may not) come.
No one but they benefit from this decision - kids suffer. The supposed exemption for religious organizations will be the next wall to fall, as the mafia will rally their forces and continue to strangle national until every barrier to access to young impressionable children is breached and the gays can go back to their predatory attacks on children.
What did the Boy Scouts organization and executive leadership expect to accomplish by doing this? Didn't they take time to consider what this will do to the organization? Don't they understand the thinking and types of people who allow their young boys and men to participate in Scouting?
I truly don't understand why this private organization did this ... to themselves!

Seriously. Who would allow their son to join the BSA now?

It would be logical to conclude that the executive leadership of the BSA has been infiltrated by queers. Why else would they do it? And if it destroys the BSA, do you think they care? Mission accomplished.
