Cardinal Dolan’s remarks about Trump are personally offensive to me

Is it me or is the Catholic Church beginning to look more and more like the ruling Uniparty in Washington? The Holy Father’s approval ratings are falling like a stone in a lake and not without good cause. If approval numbers for Francis were plummeting because he was constantly preaching warnings about the penalty for sinning, I would cheer him and say “Good riddance” to those who are upset and maybe want to move to another church because of such warnings. But this is not the case. We are getting a non-stop dose of “Liberation Theology” that provides solutions to problems we don’t have in significant enough numbers to find useful.

Like the fake conservatives in Congress who have betrayed us politically; the Catholic Hierarchy are sending us endless admonishments about how we should cast aside our common sense, welcome the wave of immigrants sneaking into our country and reward them with benefits well beyond those which native Americans receive under the same conditions.

It isn’t bad enough that Timothy Cardinal Dolan has quietly sold out his absolute responsibility to defend and protect Catholic doctrine by allowing Gay groups to march in the St. Patrick’s Day parade (that marches right past his residence and of which he has been the Grand Marshal), now he is attacking Donald Trump for making the distinction between legal immigrants and illegal immigrant criminals.

In an op-ed recently published by a New York paper known for its leftist views, the self-serving Dolan compares mid19th century attacks by Nativists on legal Irish immigrants to comments of Donald Trump about the low character of some illegal, Hispanic aliens now flooding over...

As a Christian, I forgive Dolan for what he had said about Trump, but still find it troubling.

Dolan is Cardinal in the city that allows a 7 hour gay pride parade in broad daylight. What is wrong with this picture? Doesn’t a Catholic Cardinal have any moral sway in a city that has millions of Catholics? Has he ever spoken up against this? Has he even tried to make a difference in New York City?

We are always seeing Black clergy going on civil rights march after march after march and the politicians and media are always in total adoration of all the tired and useless statements that we have been hearing for 40 years from the “civil rights” community.

It is beginning to look to me like Dolan is a sell out who likes being with the popular crowd and that is all he wants.

Dolan is an ass, and proof, if further proof were needed, that asses can rise to high positions - even the highest - within the Catholic church.

A sad day indeed—Maybe Francis will be the last Pope? He may sell off the Vatican to feed the hungry for a few weeks.

Absolutely. Catholic Church is also consistently anti-2A, a now the pope F. is stridently pro world government, anti-free market, man made climate change, pro communitarian etc.

Isn’t it disingenuous that Dolan would go out of his way to pick a fight with Trump and not a real devil like 0bama? It seems to me that Dolan is motivated by some type of grudge or personal affront with Trump. This only makes Dolan look like a sad and petty politician cloaked in religious garb. If he took his faith seriously, he would directly challenge 0bama on abortion, gay marriage, lawlessness etc.

With Francis, perhaps the Lord has a sense of humor and asked Benedict to step aside so the Modernist “Catholics” could get what they want so badly for a while. Perhaps it is a way to straighten out the College.

Where is Dolan's voice in opposition to PP trafficking in the body parts of aborted babies? Like the pope he is parroting Marxist liberation theology and climate change claptrap.

Between decades of covering up sex abuse by the clergy, this Marxist theolog permeating the Church and now worshipping the cult of climate change, the Catholic Church as the rock of Christs teachings is long gone

This frocked popinjay should stick to delivering vapid speeches at Knights of Columbus breakfasts, not trying to fundamentally transform the Church.

Who is Dolan really behind in the Presidential race? He certainly isn’t going to stick his neck out for a Republican is he? His only option is a Democrat that runs and promises to support and fund Planned Parenthood. What does that make him? As big a hypocrite as the Pope.

If Dolan is going to try to destroy Trump then he should be telling the faithful what the alternative is. The Irish did fine in this country, including his family, in spite of the “Nativists”. And I believe that millions of Hispanics are doing fine in this country, just as the Irish did.

Dolan needs to speak out about Planned Parenthood and its murderous ways instead of pandering to the leftists in this country. The whole thing smells of money, money, money.

This does not surprise me. The Catholic church I have been a member of has pretty much run a lot of my friends out.

With declining or actually cratering numbers, the US Bishops have been running to restock the pews with illegals for some time now. It is their growth strategy.

Francis is big on global socialism (aka Marxism). He’s denounced capitalism. He wants a global government with the power to transfer wealth and people nation to nation. Just like the Uniparty. The big centralized planners in the sky.
