As 2017 opens with the potential we have craved for many years, the initial milestones are being realized.

Takes one to know one. We’ve spent quite a bit of time talking about the ugly reality facing today’s Democrats. As a political force, they’ve essentially been decimated by the Obama years. Following Hillary Clinton’s implosion, they hold a historically small number of seats at the federal, state, and local levels. They’re facing an absolutely brutal 2018 midterm map, their “bench” is embarrassingly shallow, and (so far) fresh faces are nowhere to be found.

Grade-A scumbag. I can disagree with someone and still get along well with them. I don’t need to share your politics to believe you’re a good person. Aside from communists and fascists, I know, trust, and respect people from virtually every point on the political spectrum. So, when I say that Harry Reid is a repugnant, lying, worthless dirtbag, I want you to understand that it has nothing to do with his political beliefs. It has everything to do with his complete lack of character, honor, and integrity.

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- The biggest U.S. manufacturer of solar panels is cutting a quarter of its jobs worldwide and will halt production at its only North American plant in Ohio. First Solar Inc. says it's facing challenging market conditions and needs to retool operations to begin making a more efficient solar panel.The company based in Tempe, Arizona, will cut 1,600 jobs worldwide.Details about the restructuring plan haven't been released, but the company says it will stop production at its plant near Toledo that employs about 1,400 workers.
