We’ve spent quite a bit of time talking about the ugly reality facing today’s Democrats. As a political force, they’ve essentially been decimated by the Obama years. Following Hillary Clinton’s implosion, they hold a historically small number of seats at the federal, state, and local levels. They’re facing an absolutely brutal 2018 midterm map, their “bench” is embarrassingly shallow, and (so far) fresh faces are nowhere to be found.
Reid will be eating tapioca and strained green beans with spittle cascading down his chin by then so what’s he “bemoaning” about?

Ca. who is Obama in a pantsuit. They have a tough decision to make. She seems very formidable so do they try to take out Trump in 20? Tough to take out an incumbent but the idea of 8 years of Trump must scare the hell out of the Rats. On the other hand they don’t want put her up and have lose so do they wait till 24?
I hope that Reid doesn’t just ride off into the sunset, but that he walks out of the old Mustang Ranch and wanders forever in the Mohave Desert. Someday a hiker will find his bones and ask “What kind of creature was this?” to which the vultures will say, “Tough, tasteless and evil. Not quite the other white meat”.
Well, I want to live the rest of my life without having to see 'Rats back in power, especially in the White House, but I don't things are so bleak from their point of view. All they need is for another couple of million illegal foreign invaders to either (1) obtain US citizenship through some form of amnesty or (2) vote in US elections illegally, then place them in closely contested battleground states, and the 'Rats have the recipe to come back quickly. So it is imperative upon the rest of us that we kick the illegal aliens out of the country, or failing that, get up the courage to bust them if they even attempt to trespass on our polling places.
Let's not let the close GOP victory in the last national election allow us to take our eyes off the ball when it comes to tamping down on 'Rat election fraud and cheating.

I suspect the Democrats will look to celebrity candidates, i. e. George Clooney, Ben Affleck (don’t laugh), etc. If Trump’s first term includes significant GDP growth, low unemployment and declining deficits, then perhaps the Dems could run Alec Baldwin dressed as Trump :-)
If the celebrity angle doesn’t fly, I can see an Elizabeth Warren-Corey Booker ticket in 2020.
