Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose tore into President Trump on Sunday night for playing their music at his political rallies after they formally requested him not to. Rose took to Twitter to vent his frustrations about his music being played at Trump-associated events. "Unfortunately the Trump campaign is using loopholes in the various venues’ blanket performance licenses which were not intended for such craven political purposes, without the songwriters’ consent," Rose wrote. "Can u say “shitbags?!” Rose said that he thought it was "ironic" that Trump supporters were listening to "anti-Trump music" at his campaign rallies. "But I don’t...

The group, which was established in 1985, is to be honored at the Hall of Fame ceremony April 14. Reed has been playing with the band for about 20 years. "I know that all the original band is going to be there," Reed told Billboard.com. "I...

The long delayed Guns N' Roses album 'Chinese Democracy' is absolutely "mind-blowing,” according to former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach. The album, which has been in the making since 1997, was played at a September party hosted by frontman Axl Rose - the only remaining original member - at his mansion in California. Bach, who is opening for the legendary group on their current tour of North America, says, "It was mind-blowing. It's a very cool album - it's bada*s with killer screams, killer guitar riffs, but it's got a totally modern sound. "The word for it is 'grand'. It's...

Options for a coming singularity include self-destruction of civilization, a positive singularity, a negative singularity (machines take over), and retreat into tradition. Our urgent goal: find (and avoid) failure modes, using anticipation (thought experiments) and resiliency -- establishing robust systems that can deal with almost any problem as it arises. In order to give you pleasant dreams tonight, let me offer a few possibilities about the days that lie ahead—changes that may occur within the next twenty or so years, roughly a single human generation. Possibilities that are taken seriously by some of today's best minds. Potential transformations of human...

NEW YORK - Guns N' Roses fans went into frenzied overdrive when three studio-quality tracks from the mythical "Chinese Democracy" album were leaked onto the Internet. The leaks came just weeks after frontman Axl Rose ended his hermit-like lifestyle by venturing out to a Korn tour launch party in Los Angeles and to trendy nightclubs for some post-birthday bashes (his 44th) in Manhattan. Asked at the Korn bash about "Chinese Democracy," which has been in the making for a decade, Rose told Rolling Stone.com that "people will hear music this year." The tracks leaked Wednesday take a different direction from...

At the onset of the twenty-first century, humanity stands on the verge of the most transforming and the most thrilling period in its history. It will be an era in which the very nature of what it means to be human will be both enriched and challenged, as our species breaks the shackles of its genetic legacy and achieves inconceivable heights of intelligence, material progress, and longevity.
