  • Where is the evidence that CO2, at anywhere near the levels we have today, leads to global warming?

In short, there IS no evidence that CO2 has ever caused significant warming on Earth when the concentrations were within 10-15 times of what they are today. Water vapor is, by far, the most important greenhouse gas in the Earth system. Water vapor accounts for about 95% of the greenhouse effect on Earth. Earth's temperature variations are much better correlated with the Sun's solar activity/sunspot cycle than with CO2 changes.-etl THE ACQUITTAL OF CARBON DIOXIDE by Jeffrey A. Glassman, PhD ABSTRACT: "Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere [historically] is the product of oceanic respiration due to the well-known but under-appreciated solubility...

    * UN climate panel report "in no way" tarnished * Review process makes bias impossibleLONDON, Nov 26 (Reuters) - The head of the U.N.'s panel of climate experts rejected accusations of bias on Thursday, saying a "Climategate" row in no way undermined evidence that humans are to blame for global warming. Climate change sceptics have seized on a series of e-mails written by specialists in the field, accusing them of colluding to suppress data which might have undermined their arguments. The e-mails, some written as long as 13 years ago, were stolen from a British university by unknown hackers and...

BEIJING: In an unprecedented move, India on Saturday joined China and two other developing countries to prepare for a major offensive on rich nations at the Copenhagen conference on climate change next month. The four countries, which include Brazil and South Africa, agreed to a strategy that involves jointly walking out of the conference if the developed nations try to force their own terms on the developing world, Jairam Ramesh, the Indian minister for environment and forests (independent charge), said. “We will not exit in isolation. We will co-ordinate our exit if any of our non-negotiable terms is violated. Our...

SCIENTISTS at the University of East Anglia (UEA) have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based. It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years. The UEA’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) was forced to reveal the loss following requests for the data under Freedom of Information legislation.

Scientific, economic and political realities are reining in worldwide efforts to combat global warming. But not so in California. As others stop short of committing economic suicide, California's overaggressive government could inflict further economic harm on the state. The California Air Resources Board last week released a draft of its Draconian, top-down manipulation of the economy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The agency's cap-and-trade regulations effectively would impose broad-based new taxes by making energy more costly and forcing industries to buy permission to emit greenhouse gases that bureaucrats insist dangerously warm the atmosphere. However, Congress and 192 nations meeting next...
