• Our policy on third party or personal fundraising on FR: Don't do it!

Don't do it. Prayer requests are ok, but asking for money is not.

There is absolutely no way that we can vet people asking for money on the internet and so our policy is not to allow personal or third party fundraising on FR. Occasionally people do it anyway. And sometimes good Samaritans get burned. People are not always who they seem to be. Beware of who you send money or personal information to (real names, phone numbers, address, email address, checking account numbers, etc).

Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The Left loves to see these go on and on. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a friend, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country or another hero. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need...

I came across a thread that had been pulled. When I clicked on the story and read it and further researched the author, I'm confused. The author/writer seems pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-conservative (and seemingly Conservative himself), anti-big-government & on and on, but the thread was pulled specifically citing the author's name, Warner Todd Huston. Even his Facebook page & web search didn't turn up anything I found to be anti-conservative (though I will cite a lack of religion in his publications...just an observation given the topic). I looked & looked (adminlectureseries, etc., including "How to post a thread and other...

FR is pro-God, pro-Life, pro-family, pro-constitution, pro-limited government and will remain that way. Regardless of any consequences!! You're either with us on this or against us. Moderation is not the solution, it is the problem!! We do not surrender, we do not retreat, we do not negotiate or compromise on our unalienable rights to Life and Liberty or our sovereignty!! Karl Rove and the GOP-e moderates and all like them can KMA!! You cannot moderate evil, you fight it!!

I have developed a bookmarklet that can help you find if an article has already been posted on Free Republic. You put it in your favorites bar or save it as a bookmark. While reading a news article or web page, you click the "FR Search" link. A window opens with the FR search page and with a good guess what the article title is. Screen shots of me using "FR Search" to see if an article was posted.I have tested it with Chrome 32 and IE 11. Here are the results of testing 20 articles posted on FR. I...

Since my registration on this site, January 15, 2004, I look forward to the New Year and my ninth anniversary with the finest conservative minds across the globe. It is this place that exhibits more generosity than every country combined. There is no finer place on the Internet. Over the course of 2013, there has been no better display of patriotism and Americanism than this beloved Red, White and Blue forum. Despite the claims of the world, FReepers celebrate the New Year, giving more than they receive. With the never-ending support of this web site, Free Republic will continue to...

Yesterday I posted this hilarious review of Sarah Palin's new book about the war on Christmas Good Tidings and Great Joy. The post was picked up by a Tea Party forum "Free Republic" and they were not happy. Apparently I'm "stupid, ignorant, dishonest and basically evil" and also have "the hair of a kewpie doll." For 70+ comments, they proved they were smarter, more honest, more Godly, and possessing of better hair by calling me gay in as many ways as they could think of. "Fudgepacker" was fun because it reminded me of second grade, "pointy headed fag in need...

The thing marked extra convenient claims to, but it doesn't. Been a donating Freeper for 13 years, never seen a moose, and I have showered recently. And I am logged in. But sick of logging in!

-snip- 24. Power Line From practically the day they sprang into existence, blogs have been denigrated as trivial, inaccurate, and derivative. Untrained writers could never match the accuracy and depth of newspapers and network news. Power Line, a scrappy right-wing blog, turned that perception on its ear when it took down one of old media’s most venerable figures: Dan Rather. In September 2004, Rather and CBS News aired an explosive story about George W. Bush’s service in the Texas Air National Guard. The report used military documents to show that Bush had received preferential treatment and performed poorly while failing...

Upon request, I have collected links to many of the earliest threads from September 11, 2001 below. Feel free to add other significant threads, including photo archives. Bumping this thread periodically instead of the original threads will also avoid scaring people with the headlines. Bookmark this thread, and bump it from time to time when the nation and the press seems to forget why we need resolve in the face of evil. Forgive some of the early misinformation and broken photo links, and recall the horror and fury.

The vast majority of stories posted here that support conservative positions or trash liberals/progressives are from publications that only conservative minded people read. It makes FR kind of an echo chamber, in that, no or very few minds will be changed unless the articles posted here start showing up in the popular media of big city newspapers and network television. I wish it was different, but alas, it isn't
