Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky football players were involved in a pair of altercations on the same night in January, and video both was released on Tuesday. One video, shot by a security camera at an EKU dormitory, shows a man identified as Eastern Kentucky defensive lineman Patrick Graffree punching Kentucky quarterback Drew Barker from behind. Barker then falls across a desk and eventually gets to his feet.

Morgantown, West Virginia's city council passed a law Tuesday to ban upholstered furniture outdoors, WV Public Broadcasting reports. Why? Because West Virginia University students won't stop burning couches outside. The new law prohibits people from keeping couches in their yards or unenclosed porches. According to WV Public, violators will receive a written warning, and then fines of up to $500.

Eddie LeBaron, the College Football Hall of Fame quarterback at the University of the Pacific who went on to a lengthy pro career, died Wednesday in Stockton, the university announced. He was 85. University officials said Mr. LeBaron, who also worked as a lawyer in Sacramento for nine years before retiring in 1997, died of natural causes ... Chuck Bednarik, a Pro Football Hall of Famer and one of the last great two-way NFL players, has died. He was 89. A star linebacker and center, Bednarik helped the Philadelphia Eagles win the 1960 NFL championship, tackling Green Bay’s Jim Taylor on the final play to seal the victory. The top overall pick in the 1949 draft out of Penn, he spent 14 seasons as one of the toughest and most feared players in the game.
