Free-agent running back DeMarco Murray is flying to Philadelphia to meet with Eagles officials, with the expectation that he will join the team, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Thursday.
In the ensuing hours Thursday, the Dallas Cowboys began calling around looking for other running backs, expecting that they will lose Murray, Schefter's sources said.

Iggles probably overpaid for Murray. I wonder if acquiring Adrian Peterson is the Cowgirls back up plan.

The San Diego press is reporting that the Chargers former first round draft pick (a bust) runnin back Ryan Matthews is signing with the Iggles. Good luck with that. Matthews is good when he can play, but he is out injured about 25% of the time.

Reports are Matthews signed with the Iggles, sorry for stealing Bender’s names.

Kelley is getting a bunch of previously injured players. I have heard that he believes his sports medicine and training programs will mitigate the risk.
I have been an Eagles fan since 1975. I am willing to give all these changes a shot. I liked Shady, Maclin and Foles but at this point, there is little to lose since given the long, long history, it is hard to be disappointed.

Apparently Matthews has not yet signed with the Eagles, and Murray is planning to sign today. Who knows what’s happening?

They never disappoint me because I never have any expectations of success. I figure it is better to be pleasantly surprised than let down. Some day it might happen.

Iggles are going to pay Murray a boatload and then find out a good deal of his success was due to the Cowboys offensive line.

I guess since their OSU running back (Joseph Randle) melted down they need another OU running back.

Murray was pretty insignificant in college.

There’s a possibility Drew Brees ends up in Philly.
Nothing to play for in NO anymore, and he accounts for big money against their cap. Just lost his favorite target there.
Why play another down in NO? Why not take less and contend for a title? ‘The Manning Plan’ as it were.

He was pretty ho-hum with the Cowboys until they got that line firmed up. If the boys can get Randle to stop committing crimes they should be fine.

DeMarco Murray left for the Eagles for one reason: money. The Cowboys have WAY unpaid him, and he wants the money for one good contract before he retires.

Perfect fit. A child beater to the Cowboys.

I’m an Eagles fan and they have a hell of an offensive line too. Look at the yards Shady got in spite of his reluctance to hit the holes. He regressed this past year after banging his head the previous year. He sucked in short yardage situations because he danced too much before he hit the hole. Murray runs down hill and is not afraid to get physical. GO EAGLES! Sign him.

You can say that about most running backs. LeSean McCoy's productivity went down in 2014 because the O line was banged up early on. They were healthy in 2013, and he won a rushing title.

Disagree somewhat. He is not a physical running back and was not getting any extra yards after contact this season; however, the regression (if you want to call being 3rd in the league regressing) was due in part to the offensive line being injured early in the season. They had 3rd stringers in there at one point, didn't they? "Dancing" is not always being tentative. Sometimes backs are waiting for the hole to open, and it never does because the blocking isn't there.
