Talk about flip-flopping! Bruce Jenner AKA Caitlyn Jenner is making headlines again. Sources close to Jenner have disclosed that she's now having doubts whether she's really a woman and is in the process of asking everyone to call her Bruce again. Jenner claims that after lots of soul searching, she is certain about this decision. Earlier this year, Bruce Jenner made national headlines when he revealed on a 20/20 interview that he was going through a gender transition. Jenner's announcement was a huge victory for the LGBT community that was lacking a high profile celebrity. Jenner, is a retired professional...

Former Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke says some Wall Street executives should have gone to jail for their roles in the financial crisis that gripped the country in 2008 and triggered the Great Recession. Billions of dollars in fines have been levied against major banks and brokerage firms in the wake of the economic meltdown that was in large part triggered by reckless lending and shady securities dealings that blew up a housing bubble. But in an interview with USA Today published Sunday, Bernanke said he thinks that in addition to the corporations, individuals should have been held more accountable....

The conventional wisdom is that Vladimir Putin has blindsided Barack Obama in the Middle East, catching the U.S. off-guard. It’s another Obama “failure,” we’re told. “Obama administration scrambles as Russia attempts to seize initiative in Syria,” is how a Washington Post headline described it. A popular cartoon shows Putin kicking sand in the faces of Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry on a beach. - snip - Here’s how her story began: “Moscow’s rapid military buildup in Syria is a result of the ‘reset’ in relations forged with the Russian and Iranian governments by the Barack Obama administration. The...

Bernie Sanders blazed across the Bay State yesterday, drawing record crowds, name-dropping Elizabeth Warren and greeting rapturous crowds on his first campaign tour of Massachusetts. “As your senator, Elizabeth Warren, reminds us: This is a rigged economy. Heads, they win. Tails, you lose,” the self-avowed socialist told more than 20,000 Boston supporters. “We’re going to create an economy that works for the middle class and not just the 1 percent.” The Democratic hopeful first stopped in Springfield, and then made his way to the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, where he drew deafening cheers with his signature impassioned pledges to...

Many people didn't think Donald Trump would get this far. A lot of people are saying he won't go any further. Mr. Trump still holds the lead in most polls, but someone with more traditionally recognized political acumen will win the Republican nomination, say pundits. "Businessman Donald Trump may be leading in opinion polls for the Republican presidential nomination, but bettors say someone else will be nominated next year," wrote Washington correspondent Jonathan Salant for NJ Advance Media. Mr. Salant was referring to British bookmakers. Thus far, the race has been dominated by "outsiders," as both the Republican and Democratic...

More yeoman's work by The Last Refuge, which has been tracking down the rapidly disappearing social media profile of Scumbag McScumbag (it is the policy of our august and highly respected journal not to name psychopathic jihadist mass-murderers). Remember the Trayvon Martin case? You know, the dude involved in burglary, PCP-like drug cocktails, and/or drug dealing who assaulted George Zimmerman and got capped for his trouble? Remember how the media claimed there was a new race called "White Hispanics", a term invented "by The New York Times to describe Zimmerman, apparently in some kind of push for a white vs....

"I want to talk about pretending," Stephen Colbert said on last night's episode of The Late Show, which aired just a little over 24 hours after the regon shooting. "That is something that I know a little bit about."

Was he a Half-White Supremacist? According to the LA Times, Chris Harper Mercer, the Oregon killer, was a "White Supremacist". One slight problem. Mercer identified as multi-racial. His mother was black. He doesn't seem to have even known his father. He identified with black TV killer Vester Lee Flanagan. This doesn't seem to have stopped the media with George Zimmerman who was labeled a white Hispanic, so maybe Chris Harper Mercer was a white Black? Was he a Half-White Supremacist? I'm not an expert on "White Supremacism", but being half-black and then shooting a bunch of white Christians would make...

Several hours after posting a news story with several errors, including in the headline—about a CNSNews.com reporter asking Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) a question about human life—The Washington Post fixed the errors in the story by reporter Kelsey Snell but only noted one “correction” at the story’s end in the changed copy. On Thursday, Oct. 1, CNSNews.com reporter Sam Dorman attended Pelosi’s weekly press conference at the U.S. Capitol and asked her, “In reference to funding for Planned Parenthood, is an unborn baby with a human heart and a human liver a human being?” […] In Kelsey Snell’s story posted...

CNS News' Sam Dorman peppered House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Thursday afternoon with several questions about abortion, and a few unimpressed reporters responded quickly by assuming that he was either a conservative activist or just some protester. "A conservative journo asked Pelosi [about] what constitutes a baby being alive," MSNBC's Luke Russert tweeted, making an assumption about Dorman's political affiliations. The Washington Post's Kelsey Snell took it a step further, and initially identified Dorman in an article as a pro-life "protester." The Post has since updated its story to reflect that Dorman is, in fact, a reporter. CNS News...

A propagandist will be a propagandist. I guess. Taking a break from being a shill for the NFL and Roger Goodell, the NFL Network's Albert Breer decided to become a propagandist for gun grabbing liberals and the Obama administration. Mentioning a Peter King anti gun rant (hey it's what leftist sports journalists do), Breer tweeted: I'd say 141 school shootings is evidence that the American public has blown its right to bear arms. https://t.co/RmShIgOZc4— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) October 2, 2015 There's an old saying: Know your audience. And let's just say that the mostly male NFL fan base is not...

How do you spell hypocrisy? W-a-s-h-i-n-g-t-o-n P-o-s-t. The Washington, D.C., paper of record has spent the past year filling bird cages and landfills with stories about income inequality – 156 in print alone and another 404 in blogs or 560 total. Subtract one of those (listed twice in LexisNexis) that included the name of billionaire Post owner Jeffrey Bezos. The remaining 155 print and 403 blog mentions didn’t have any discussion of the newspaper’s fat cat owner. Yet, Bezos is now the fourth-richest American with a fortune of $47 billion, according to Forbes. He purchased the Post for $250 million,...

Every American has the right to make his or her voice heard. Sadly, 50 years after the passage of the nation’s most important voting law, the 1965 Voting Rights Act, millions of Americans continue to be silenced at the voting booth because of a deadly one-two punch to our democracy – attacks on voting rights and an explosion of unlimited political spending in our elections.

Trump's Tax Cuts Could Cost U.S. Trillions of Dollars, Experts Say By MICHAEL FINNEGAN AND JAMES F. PELTZ Trump, who has faced pressure to offer a detailed campaign agenda, vowed to simplify the tax system, with four individual income tax brackets: 25%, 20%, 10% and 0%. The highest of the seven current brackets is 39.6%. Trump would also lower the 35% corporate rate to 15%. But businesses would lose tax breaks on earnings overseas and various unidentified “loopholes that cater to special interests.” Millions of individuals who earn less than $25,000 a year, or couples who make less than $50,000,...

There has been an impressive amount of angry liberal commentary, which has spilled over into the mainstream press coverage (or do I repeat myself?) of the issue, about how in the last Republican presidential debate Carly Fiorina allegedly cited an entirely imaginary video in order to make a crazy claim about Planned Parenthood’s brain-harvesting ghoulishness that’s totally unsupported by the facts. Here’s Slate’s Dahlia Lithwick, in a representative rant, attacking Fiorina’s “big fib,†the sheer “enormity†of which has shaken Lithwick’s faith in honesty in politics and journalism: Nobody—not even Fiorina’s staunchest defenders—can say that these videos that clearly don’t...

Gov. Cuomo, speaking at the funeral of his murdered aide Saturday, urged Washington Democrats to shut down the government until they get a gun control bill that works. The governor gave an emotional eulogy at Carey Gabay’s funeral at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Clinton Hill. He told the dozens of mourners that the 43-year-old’s death from an errant bullet fired in the wake of a Labor Day J’Ouvert celebration in Crown Heights was “one of the most tragic pointless examples of the rampant violence that is spreading like a cancer through our society.” “His murder showed a disrespect for...
