Why pundits (still) don't expect Trump to win GOP nomination
The Christian Science Monitor ^ | October 3, 2015 | Lucy Schouten

Many people didn't think Donald Trump would get this far. A lot of people are saying he won't go any further.

Mr. Trump still holds the lead in most polls, but someone with more traditionally recognized political acumen will win the Republican nomination, say pundits.

"Businessman Donald Trump may be leading in opinion polls for the Republican presidential nomination, but bettors say someone else will be nominated next year," wrote Washington correspondent Jonathan Salant for NJ Advance Media. Mr. Salant was referring to British bookmakers.

Thus far, the race has been dominated by "outsiders," as both the Republican and Democratic side have seen thus-far successful candidates without the usual partisan stripes and accolades, The Christian Science Monitor reported. Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is an independent, is considered by some as the Democratic "outsider."(continued)

most of the people the pundits hang out with are anti-trump so they live in a bubble. Its hard for them to see anyone could be pro-trump since noone they know is pro-trump

Bernie Sanders is a Democrat outsider?
He’s as mainstream as a Democrat can be. He just has the guts to call himself what Democrats actually are. Socialists.

They know the establishment will soon release the gates of hell on Trump. His own mother wouldn’t like him after what will be said about him

Conventional wisdom hasn't worked really well this cycle. I'm not sure it will here, either.

The pundits are wrong so often, that this is a very positive sign for Trump.

So far, every pundit I have seen has a serious vested interest in the establishment. —And most of them have already been called out by Trump.

I am thinking of what happened to another pundit who said Romney would win be a mile, and now we do not hear anything from him anymore — Who is Dick Morris?

The “pundits” really don’t know how to deal with Donald Trump. As stated here, they live in a bubble and don’t understand why the masses aren’t getting behind their safe choice of Jebbie Bush.

Oh lord.

My daughter and I were out running errands and saw the first Bernie 2016 yard sign.

SMH.

Because despite being wealthy, Donald Trump is not a member of the ruling class and sees the world as regular people do.

“Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is an independent, is considered by some as the Democratic “outsider.”

Bernie Sanders is an utterly mainstream democrat except in one regard—he is honest enough to call himself a “socialist.”

The more the MSM dump on Trump the more the voters move to Trump. The voters know bulls$$t when they hear it. Just ask Fox how well the gotcha debate went

the first Bernie 2016 yard sign...

Several weeks ago there was a Hillary yard sign proudly displayed by one of my neighbors. I noted this week it's gone. And heretofore I thought Democrats had lost all shame. Nahh, probably a freak gust of wind.

If pundits do not think Trump will win that means it is a 100% guarantee he will be the next president.

The most common establishment response to a Black Swan moment, is denial.

Until the disruption has buried them.

Trump: The Black Swan.

So, Donald Trump is involved in a car wreck.
A passerby call 911 and the EMS vehicle rolls up.
The med techs extricate Trump from his car and
strap him to a gurney, hook up an IV and roll
him into the ambulance.

A med tech in the EMS
with him leans over and says,
“Are you comfortable?”
Trump says, “I do alright.”

"...but someone with more traditionally recognized political acumen will win the Republican nomination..."

more traditionally recognized political acumen = more ability to deceive, be a liar, and emulate an etch-a-sketch

JEB's problem is that he didn't want to lie about his love for amnesty and commie core. He's a democrat and proud of it. But the Rubio's and Romney's of the world, JEB!'s democrat with R next to their name buddies, have no problem lying. That is who they are looking forward to seeing win.
