The FBI arrested two men Thursday night accused of purchasing explosives they apparently planned to use during protests in Ferguson, Missouri, a law enforcement source told CBS News. The men, who live in the St. Louis area, are allegedly members of the new Black Panthers. They were arrested as part of an FBI undercover operation near Ferguson and intended to use the explosives in pipe bombs, the source confirmed. The suspects, whose names were not released, were arraigned in federal court on Friday. FBI spokeswoman Rebecca Wu told CBS News the suspects were arrested on outstanding warrants. Within days, a...

In an unnerving intelligence bulletin issued this week, the FBI warned that the expected news this weekend that Officer Darren Wilson won't be indicted in the death of black teenager Michael Brown could set off violence across the country. A source told one of our reporters that some law enforcement officials fear that the reaction could be as bad as the deadly Watts riots of the 1960s. "The announcement of the grand jury’s decision … will likely be exploited by some individuals to justify threats and attacks against law enforcement and critical infrastructure,” the FBI warned. “This also poses a...

If the end result of a war is an exchange of territory, the outcome of a revolution is ultimately the exchange of real estate. The house at 716 Gerrard Street East is an apt illustration of the downward mobility of the politically displaced. Listed last week on MLS, the modest two-story Riverdale semidetached was the final residence of the Tsar Nicholas II’s last surviving sibling, Grand Duchess Olga Alexandranova. The highest ranking member of the Russian imperial family to emigrate to North America, Olga convalesced in the care of Russian friends who ran the beauty shop on the main floor....

LAS VEGAS, USA – US President Barack Obama staunchly defended his unilateral move to shield millions of undocumented immigrants from deportation Friday, November 21 pledging to implement his controversial plan despite furious criticism from congressional opponents. "I have come back to Del Sol to tell you, I'm not giving up. I will never give up," Obama insisted at the Las Vegas, Nevada high school where he launched his immigration reform efforts two years ago. "We're going to keep on working with members of Congress to make permanent reform a reality," he added. "But until that day comes, there are actions...

President Barack Obama and his surrogates argue that the president’s executive actions will hold illegal immigrants accountable and force them to pay their “fair share of taxes.” However there is a big question as to whether these illegal immigrants will be a net gain or loss to the Treasury. Thursday night, President Obama announced a series of executive actions on immigration, including providing legal status to nearly five million illegal immigrants. While part of Obama’s argument for legalizing millions of immigration law breakers is that they will now have to pay taxes, Fox Business’ Stuart Varney, Avik Roy at Forbes,...

The Obama administration says people in the United States whose home countries are ravaged by Ebola can stay in America. The decision by the Department of Homeland Security will grant temporary status to about 8,000 people currently living in the U.S. The move, first reported by Reuters, was designed to protect people from Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone from being deported back to areas experiencing disaster conditions. The temporary stay currently has an 18-month ceiling on it. However, after that time, DHS will assess whether the protection should be extended. In order to receive protected status, residents from the three...

E-cigarettes may be better for your health than normal ones, but spare a thought for your poor computer – electronic cigarettes have become the latest vector for malicious software, according to online reports. Many e-cigarettes can be charged over USB, either with a special cable, or by plugging the cigarette itself directly into a USB port. That might be a USB port plugged into a wall socket or the port on a computer – but, if so, that means that a cheap e-cigarette from an untrustworthy supplier gains physical access to a device. A report on social news site Reddit...

Jurors decided the fate of a 41-year-old man Friday who murdered and lit his former girlfriend on fire in front of her children. According to the Riverside County District Attorney's Office, jurors decided Tyrone Harts, of Riverside, will be sentenced to death early next year ... At the time of the murder, the children ranged in ages from six to 15-years-old. On Feb. 21, 2011, Harts shot his former girlfriend, Brandi Morales, inside of her Moreno Valley home she shared with her six children ...

Last spring, Obamacare supporters were ebullient when the Obama administration announced a milestone "victory:" Despite a truly disastrous roll-out, they'd enrolled eight million Americans in the program. The Obamacare debate, the president said, was officially over. We expressed skepticism over the White House's stats almost immediately, noting that the official numbers didn't account for duplicates, non-paying "customers," and consumer attrition -- not to mention the high percentage of "new" enrollees who previously had insurance, but were forced to use Obamacare's exchanges to obtain plans after their existing arrangements were cancelled under the new law.  The last two weeks have witnessed two more blows for the "it's...

BARACK Obama defied the advice of his embassy in Canberra to deliver a stinging attack on the Abbott government’s climate policies in Brisbane last weekend. The US embassy, under the leadership of ambassador John Berry, advised the President, through his senior staff, not to couch his climate change comments in a way that would be seen as disobliging to the Abbott government, sources have revealed. When The Weekend Australian put this information to the US embassy, a spokesman said: “As is the case with all presidential speeches, President Obama’s remarks at the University of Queensland in Brisbane were prepared by...

We interrupt this week’s deluge of executive amnesty and Grubergate coverage to bring you this heartwarming Friday afternoon palate cleanser. First, some brief background, from HuffPo: They may be our biggest rivals on the ice, but when it comes to honouring our American neighbours, Canadians don’t pass up on the opportunity to chime in. The video, filmed Nov. 18, shows the opening of the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. the Nashville Predators hockey game. When Canadian singer Michelle Madeira began the American national anthem, her microphone failed. So what did the Canadian crowd do? They picked up right where she...

Complete Headline: Police families in Ferguson fear for their safety and many have gone into hiding or left town after receiving assault and death threats The families of many police officers in Ferguson, Missouri, are in hiding or running from town amid death and assault threats. One police wife told KTVI that she's received threats over the phone and she's been paranoid for her and her young daughter's safety ever since. 'Did they follow me here?' she told the station. 'Did I do a good enough job after work today of taking different routes, on my way home?

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: It was hard to tell last night just whose leader Barack Obama is. I mean, I'm watching this, it's surreal, and it's almost like a dream. Was Barack Obama speaking as president of the United States or was he speaking as the victorious leader of a foreign invasion? I mean, it's curious, the alignments this president makes, the allies he makes, the enemies he has. And last night his allies -- and you could see them dancing and cheering all over the world. I mean, in your head you could see 'em cheering and dancing all over...

A school district that includes part of Ferguson, Mo., will cancel classes next week in anticipation of a grand jury decision on whether to indict a police officer for killing an unarmed black teenager, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “With the heightened anxiety and activity, we thought it would be better for students and staff to extend the holiday at this point," Jennings School District superintendent Tiffany Anderson told the paper. She added that most students walk to school because the district doesn’t provide school buses and that people had been approaching students on their walk home.

In a few hours' time, the President of the United States will apparently do to his oath of office what the Islamic State does to its captives. As I said to Hugh Hewitt the other day, even a constitution of meticulously constructed checks and balances requires a certain seemliness of its political class. This chief executive is brazen in his lawlessness, and ever more so. And he has calculated that those who object lack the stomach to do anything about it. We shall see. However, I would like also to note another example of presidential brazenness this week - Barack...

As the potential harm of the President Obama’s amnesty bid for possibly more than 5 million illegal aliens residing in the United States becomes clearer, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are continuing to speak out against his unilateral action to try to remake America.

Stocks are pushing further into record territory as investors welcome a move by China to stimulate its economy by lowering interest rates. Hints from the head of Europe’s central bank that it might step up its own stimulus efforts also put investors in a buying mood Friday. The FBI has sent about 100 agents to the St. Louis area to help deal with any problems that could arise from the grand jury decision in the police shooting of Ferguson teenager Michael Brown. In addition to the FBI, other federal agencies have also mobilized staffers to get to St. Louis today, sources told ABC News. A decision by the grand jury is expected soon, but St. Louis authorities said today that the grand jury is still meeting. The panel will decide whether or not to indict Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson for shooting Brown, who was unarmed, on...
