The change in the Democrat Party over the past 25 years cannot be made more clear than to read this scholarly article by what was a senior US Senator / Harvard Professor / Ambassador and immediate predecessor of Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) [2001-07]! Moynihan may have been the last or one of the last centrist Democrat politicians and the movement of that party to the far LEFT is illustrated by this monograph that is still very much worth reading!

The Left’s gratuitous vandalism of American institutions and its hostility to the principles that have made this country great cannot be fought with essays in magazines. The Left can only win by forcing us onto the uneven playing field of political correctness and constructive dialogue. I choose war.

For all of Donald Trump’s often baffling social commentary, he could not have asked for better opponents in an ongoing culture war that has the political left crying foul. On everything from statues, to sports protests, the left seems eager to somehow try to out-do Trump’s bombastic absurdity. [SNIP] The kneel down gesture was always puzzling to me, as the national anthem isn’t played at sporting events to honor police officers. It’s in large part to honor men and women serving in the nation’s armed forces (more on that in a minute) which give us the freedom to gather in...

As the Left foams at the mouth over Phil Robertson, the Christian man who described Almighty God's take on homosexuality and other gross sins, their fear is becoming more and more apparent. They seem gradually to be realizing that they are a pernicious minority that only thrives because they are bolstered by Obama's morally corrupt federal government; intellectually lightweight media, devoid of principles; and interestingly, a general decency of American people influenced by the nation's Judeo-Christian roots. The masses, however, are becoming increasingly fed up with the Left's imposition of a twisted worldview that does not comport with anything resembling...

Krauthammer's take from last night's All-Stars Panel on Special Report with Bret Baier: On Eric Holder possibly appointing a prosecutor to investigate Bush-era interrogation techniques: If he does this, it is a terrible mistake. What we heard today, that [the special prosecutor] will only be for rogue interrogators who went outside the law—presumably, you know, [for] sadists who wanted to have a good time out of the rubric of interrogation. I'm not sure there are a lot of those. What will happen is once you appoint a prosecutor, as we know from past history, he's out of control. There are...

Christians would do well to pay close attention to the changing face of American culture. Change has come and all of us will be affected by it both financially and spiritually, IF we remain idle. The question, “Should Christians be involved in politics?” continues to be a mental blockade against righteous change. Some Christians wrongly steer clear from politics in fear of being corrupted by it. While Scripture does not answer this pesky question with an emphatic yea or nay, one cannot dismiss the fact that Judeo-Christian values have influenced and shaped modern civilization and its laws. Civil laws, justice,...

Within the perspective of the nation’s Cultural War, Americans felt the full force of two actions favoring the homosexual movement in May 2008. Same-sex "marriage" is now being imposed upon the nation by government fiat. On May 15, 2008, California’s Supreme Court declared the unconstitutionality of Proposition 22—ignoring the voices of 61% of California voters who approved the measure in 2000—and all other California statutes restricting marriage to the union of one man and one woman and imposed homosexual "marriage" on the Golden State. Concomitantly, New York Governor David Patterson unilaterally ordered all government agencies... to same-sex "marriages" contracted outside...

An eight-year-old Yemeni girl had the following to say after her big day in court. "I am happy that I am divorced now. I will be able to go back to school," Nojud Mohammed Ali said… - AFP(15 April 2008) The divorced husband, 28-year-old Faez Ali Thameur, withstood it all like true champion of a man.…said he married the child "with her consent and that of her parents" but that he did not object to her divorce petition. In response to a question from Judge Mohammed al-Qadhi, he acknowledged that the "marriage was consummated, but I did not beat her." Faez...

I don't mean to be a downer, but we've lost. And I don't mean the primary. The popularity of Obama among all groups and the increased support for liberalism and Democrats especially among the youth portend disaster. Even if Conservatives were to magically retake the GOP, we are losing the country. Although individual conservative ideas are still popular, the American people want the nanny state to protect them, the government to provide or regulate health insurance at magically low cost, increased spending on all sorts of social programs and pork. The failure of "big government" in the late 1960s to...

Two Wars at Once- Wake Up America ! I sit in the comfort of my home in the United States of America which was founded in 1776 and is the greatest nation ever conceived in human history. We are the benefactors of many generations who have built and sacrificed. Make no mistake, Christianity has been the bulwark of this evolution. There is a slow and agonizing decay of our culture and country, under both external and internal subversive attack. It would appear that Americans have not yet realized the magnitude of the challenge. Our culture has become decadent and does...

”The worst video of the 70’s” VG Nett) The danish tabloid Ekstrabladet goes to war against Norway after norwegian TV 2 declared a Danish musicvideo to be the worst video of the seventies. See the video here! ”Norwegians redicules Tommy Seebach” is the heading on Ekstrabladet’s online edition this afternoon. In the article Ekstrabladet defends the danish Grand Prix-cowboy. (Grand Prix = an annual European song contest, a horrible show, I’ll tell you about it sometime, K.H.) ”Tommy Seebachs classical dancevideo from the 70’s to the instrumental performance ”Apache” is beeing rediculed on the web” journalist Rune Melchior Sjørvad reports,...

Many people believe that religion, morals, ethics, etc... was the defining story of the 2004 election. This election wasn't about specific policy issues they argue; but it was about a broader feeling of trusting one candidate over the other on the issues or morality and religious ethics. Some of these people will go so far as to say that Republican victory on November 2nd was a mandate for religion more than a mandate for the President and his party. They suggest that the democrats lost because they just didn't deal with the issue of religion very well... or at least...

Many have suggested that this election boiled down to a question of morality. That Rove and gang catered to the base of the party by running on god, gays and guns. While admittedly there is some truth to this suggestion, it still misses the broader point. Yes, there is a cultural war going on right now… but the center of it is not about religion or gay marriage.

By TIM MOLLOY, Associated Press Writer LOS ANGELES - A spokesman for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (news - web sites) said Sunday that the governor would not apologize for calling lawmakers "girlie men," despite criticisms from Democrats that the remark was sexist and homophobic. Schwarzenegger dished out the insult at a rally Saturday as he claimed Democrats were delaying the budget by catering to special interests. "If they don't have the guts to come up here in front of you and say, 'I don't want to represent you, I want to represent those special interests, the unions, the trial lawyers ......

... The problem arises when you actually get down to the methods they advocate to ensure their view of equality and their methods of obtaining it. We are all individuals. We all live our lives based on our life experiences, economic status, education level, religious values, family values and the character traits we developed as a result. We all have differing opinions on different subjects. We all have the right, or should have; to live our lives as free thinking individuals, as long as our actions are legal, moral, non-perverse and contribute to society as a whole. We should have...

Something I often see missing in the news about illegal immigrants, is what they bring to America. We all know about the financial drain on health care, and welfare, but what about the culture shock to American citizens? Have you seen how some of our cities are looking lately? Illegals are coming over in such great numbers that we are starting to live in their cultural standards. My neighborhood is now filled with people that think the front yard is a parking lot, and that standing in the front yard drinking Bud Light and partying after work is OK. Businesses...

Gross vs. O'Reilly: Culture Clash on NPR By Jeffrey A. Dvorkin Ombudsman National Public Radio On October 9, Terry Gross, longtime host of NPR's Fresh Air aired her interview with populist political talk show host Bill O'Reilly. The e-mails and phone calls of outrage are still arriving. The interview was taped the day before on October 8. The ostensible reason was to talk about O'Reilly's latest book, Who's Looking Out For You? The book is about, among other things, the claim that America is in the midst of what O'Reilly calls a "cultural war between left and right." And he...
