Former Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy on Sunday blamed the Black Lives Matter movement for the uptick in violent crime in this country. Police are investigating a series of fights that broke out at Patrick Henry Mall on the day after Christmas. Emergency crews were called to the mall just before 6:30 p.m. when a fight occurred in the food court. Officers called for assistance from other on-duty units due to the fight. A Mississippi man arrested in the burning of an African-American church that was spray-painted with the words "Vote Trump" is a member of the congregation, the church's bishop said. Andrew McClinton, 45, of Leland, Mississippi, was charged Wednesday with first degree arson of a place of worship, said Warren Strain, spokesman for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. GREENVILLE, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Officials with the Greenville Police Department have arrested Andrew McClinton today in connection with the November fire at Hopewell MB Church in Greenville.
