As details emerge of serious security issues before the attack on Sept. 11, Fox News is also beginning to hear more frustration from sources both on the ground in Benghazi and in the U.S. Multiple British and American sources insist there were other capabilities in the region and are mystified why none were used. Fox News was told there were not only armed drones that monitor Libyan chemical weapon sites in the area, but also F-18's, AC-130 aircraft and even helicopters that could have been dispatched in a timely fashion. British intelligence sources said that unarmed drones routinely flew over...

JERUSALEM – The Obama administration’s lead investigator into the Benghazi attack, former Ambassador Thomas Pickering, previously held clandestine meetings with Hamas aimed at opening U.S. dialogue with the terrorist group, according to informed Middle Eastern security officials. Sources within Hamas previously disclosed to WND the June 2009 meeting. The gathering allegedly took place in Geneva with two Hamas leaders, Bassem Naim and Mahmoud al-Zahar. Naim is Hamas’ health minister, while al-Zahar is one of the main Hamas leaders in Gaza. Pickering is further tied to the revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa through his role as a member...

Barack Obama’s claim to election fame – that Al-Qaeda has been destroyed – needs a reality check, according to a group of anti-Al Qaeda Libyans in exile. “We beg to differ,” they exclaimed. “Obama gift-wrapped Libya, handed it over to Al-Qaeda, and we can prove it.” The group stated they have come into possession of some highly classified documents that in their view, “will bring the Obama Administration down.” They were not bluffing; they provided the first installments of official classified documents which we provided in some of our previous reporting. “The rest,” they say, “will be provided when Mitt...

The news service Reuters reported that Obama signed an intelligence finding in early 2012 authorizing U.S. support for the Syrian rebels. And according to the New York Times, CIA operatives were on the Turkish-Syrian border this summer helping to steer weapons deliveries to selected Syrian rebel groups, most of them “hard-line Islamic jihadists.” One of those jihadists was Abdelhakim Belhadj, head of the Tripoli Military Council and the former leader of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, according to a military official working with Mr Belhadjto quoted by Daily Telegraph, "met with Free Syrian Army leaders in Istanbul and on the...
  • In Benghazi timeline, CIA errors but no evidence of conspiracy

A detailed CIA timeline of the assault on U.S. facilities in Benghazi paints an anguishing picture of embattled Americans waiting for Libyan local security forces that didn’t come and courageous CIA officers who died on a rooftop without the heavy weapons they needed, trying to protect their colleagues below. It’s a story of individual bravery, but also of a CIA misjudgment in relying on Libyan militias and a newly formed Libyan intelligence organization to keep Americans safe in Benghazi. While there were multiple errors that led to the final tragedy, there’s no evidence that the White House or CIA leadership...

by Clare LopezIf reporting from the Washington Times is accurate, it looks like the Turkish Consul General Ali Sait Akin was in on the plot to attack the U.S. mission in Benghazi. According to an October 27, 2012 report, Libyan witnesses from the Benghazi neighborhood where the U.S. compound was located told reporters from the Associated Press (AP) that "150 bearded gunmen, some wearing the Afghan-style tunics favored by Islamic militants began sealing off the streets" leading to the facility "around nightfall."The Department of State "Background Briefing on Libya," provided by telephone to reporters on October 9, 2012 states that...

“Anytime a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans who were serving our country get killed, we have to figure out what happened and fix it,” he said, speaking with Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski in New Hampshire. “But I do take offense with some suggestion that in any way, we haven’t tried to make sure that the American people knew as the information was coming in what we believed.”

Michelle Obama is the most popular woman in America, and Hillary Clinton’s standing has never been higher. So with the Democrats’ lead among female voters beginning to falter, should the party be exploiting its two greatest assets [?]Her long hair drawn back into a soignée French knot, the Secretary of State is tackling questions on Libya at the State Department in Washington DC. Dressed in a sharp navy suit, she speaks with authority, displaying an absolute command of the facts. At 65 – it was her birthday on Friday – Hillary Rodham Clinton is a woman on the crest of...

The American Spectator ^ | October 29, 2012 | Jed Babbin, Deputy Undersecretary of Defense under George H.W. Bush.
Treachery and betrayal were the Administration's response, as the media gives Obama cover. What more does anyone need to know than that Americans are under attack before ordering a military response to suppress the attack and possibly rescue our people? Even if the initial response isn't exactly what you'd want it to be, even if you don't have every asset available that you might in a perfect world, isn't it your duty -- whether you're a lowly second lieutenant or the Secretary of Defense -- to do everything you can as quickly as you can? Of course it is, at...

There were many security cameras at the Benghazi US Consulate. One camera was positioned to (and did) record Ambassador Stevens, on September 11, saying good night at 8:40pm Libya time to a Turkish Diplomat. The video from this camera – I am told – shows (and proves) there was NO PROTEST outside our Consulate. The Obama Administration had that tape immediately and they knew what it showed and knew it immediately. Anyone who watched the video observed the obvious.
  • Petraeus on Benghazi: It Wasn't Me

    10/28/2012 6:01:27 AM PDT · by yoe · 49 replies
Central Intelligence Agency director David Petraeus has emphatically denied that he or anyone else at the CIA refused assistance to the former Navy SEALs who requested it three times as terrorists attacked the U.S. consulate in Benghazi on the night of Sep. 11. The Weekly Standard and ABC News (report) that Petraeus's denial effectively implicates President Barack Obama, since a refusal to assist "would have been a presidential decision." Earlier today, Denver local reporter Kyle Clarke of KUSA-TV did what the national media largely refuses to do, (asking) Obama directly whether the Americans in Benghazi were denied requests for aid....

A Mideast “Fast and Furious” emerging within weeks of the election would be devastating On October 4 in Canada Free Press, I wrote a column entitled Was Ambassador Stevens’ Death a Hit?, so suspicious did I find the circumstances surrounding the attack on the US embassy in Benghazi, Libya at that time. On October 25, I followed up with Obama’s Feet of Clay, in which I discussed the likelihood that President Barack Obama failed to react to the attack despite real-time knowledge of developments in Benghazi because he wished to obscure or bury evidence of the administration’s gun running activities...

A former Navy SEAL told Breitbart News on Friday that allegations of negligence during the 9/11/12 Benghazi attack exemplified Obama's "failed policy of appeasement and apology" and was Obama's "Watergate" with four deaths. Ryan Zinke, a member of the Montana state Senate former U.S. Navy SEAL, said it was "unconscionable that the Administration would not immediately act when our consulate is under attack," and this was Obama's "Watergate with one exception" -- "the result was the loss of our Ambassador and three young heroes." "There is no better example of the President's failed policy of appeasement and apology than America...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Fox News within the last 35 minutes, ladies and gentlemen, has broken a story that will shake this country down to its core. Well, the portion of the country paying attention to this, which is, to the chagrin of the regime, quite a large portion. President Obama has demonstrably failed here in his most basic responsibility, to keep Americans safe who are in harm's way. This is a major breaking story. CIA operators were denied three requests to go help those under assault in Benghazi. "Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in...

Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that an urgent request from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. consulate and subsequent attack several hours later on the annex itself was denied by the CIA chain of command -- who also told the CIA operators twice to "stand down" rather than help the ambassador's team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11. Former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods was part of a small team who was at the CIA annex about a mile from...

If you don’t get torches-and-pitchforks irate about this, you are not an American: The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Specter gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights. The fighting at the CIA annex went on for more than four hours — enough time for any planes based in Sigonella Air base, just 480 miles away, to arrive. Fox News has also learned that two separate Tier One Special operations forces...
