Walter Wilmore is a member of the Stonewall Brigade of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Last month, he applied to hold a ceremony on Lee-Jackson Day here at the Lee Chapel at Washington and Lee University. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal (R) is looking for a way to block attempts to remove historical statues–statues of Confederate leaders in this instance–from their current positions in New Orleans.
